Back to custody again...I thought they had shared custody with primary residence with rc. They never present it like that though.

I fell for the trial date before and no continuances given. What happens? They go to court for trial and have no intention of having a trial. They use it as a tool for "Let's talk more". I can't believe anything anymore concerning this "DEAL" carp. What I am seeing though, is rc getting the most attention and his lawyer is out there "Promoting his cause".

I realize his lawyer could be talking chit but, OTOH, I get worried that he is getting special treatment. Fields said there is no plea deal for misty. That is unusual. In every case, the accused gets a deal if they don't go to trial. hmmm.

Wait a minute..Surpise Witness for Misty????....that could get interesting. Now I am hoping she takes it to trial so they can cross-examine rc.

All these housing problems....tell you the truth, I haven't heard about women's prison being over-crowded..that's a new one for me..maybe things have changed.

The talking head defense lawyers must not be up to speed on FL mm sentencing laws.
One said "it's not like it's heroin, it's script pills" referring to the long sentence. Hello-some of those script pills are synthetic heroin! I think he was born yesterday, geesh!

AH said Misty may not plead out, this according to Fields since he got word of Ron's deal.

This could get interesting.

I wonder what is going on with NG? It is really odd to tape a show on Fri. night to air Sat. night. I hope everything is ok with her and her family.

Wasn't it rumored she would starting a new show in July? At first Oprah's spot, but not sure now. Darn, I had my hopes up for her move.

Playing the tape where rc is telling everyone he loves them;his family; his girlfriend (???) his kids; and he is not giving up on finding Haleigh (really rc?). This prison sentence can put a kink in that, don't ya think.

Had a hard time there, man, trying to get the words out that he did something wrong. He will change, ya know, he says based on whatever he is in there for or whatever thay have accused him of...LOL. This guy couldn't take responsibility, not even for Haleigh's sake. What a piece of work! He will never admit to being guilty of any wrongdoing for anything.

I loved it when he said he was captured...Quit the drama ron. You were arrested...couldn't say that either. I guess being captured makes him sound more important....LOL

I was watching the very first night Schaivo told NG that Ronald had passed his poly. That is all it took for NG to take hold of that statement and never let it go. To this very day, we all know that no one knows about the results of Ronald's poly. I am willing to bet that he has never passed one. LE has certainly never said he did. I believe that some of the misreporting of this case on national TV has harmed it.

I was too late to watch the NG show tonight and have not watched it for some time.

Seems to me that Shoemaker wants to try this case on national TV and make it seem Ronald is a whole lot less guilty than he is. Ronald trafficked prescription drugs and was caught doing it on tape. This case should be a slam dunk for the prosecutor. Why isn't it?

IMO, it is to the advantage of both Misty and/or Tommy for Fields/Werter to publically state that the SA is not willing to give them a deal. As long as it is believed Misty/Tommy do not have deals, Ron will be more "cooperative" as the "only one" talking.

IMO, Ron is "cooperating" believing his threats have kept Tommy/Misty quiet or they would have deals. That gives Ron free rein to "talk" about Tommy/Misty without reprecussions. Wonder if what Ron says will fit the evidence though?

IMO, Misty does not matter as far as Ron's sentencing goes. Misty could plead no contest and Ron still may not be sentenced.

IMO, the SA is not going to agree to sentencing for Ron until any and all information LE obtains from him has been verified. The SA is not going to risk Ron sentenced to reduced charges/time until they are sure he did not violate his agreement to answer truthfully.

I kept wondering how they could be so sure that Ron passed a poly, & I finally chalked it up to inside information. But after the bust, I remember Nancy Grace asking Shoemaker or some lawyer about Ron's results, & MOO, nobody seemed too convincing. I don't think Ron passed.

And if anyone wants to be honest with themselves, the only word he passed his lie detector tests with flying colors, comes from Ronald Cummings, and to me his word is nothing to me, he is a drug using trafficker who married a teen who is lying about what happened to his daughter, and that makes me sick.

& he also said that Misty passed, & nobody's exactly bending over backwards, to believe that part of his story, so why are they so quick to believe the other part? Ron's word means nothing.

EXACTLY!!!! And no one hardly ever brings this up! He also was told Misty passed hers, I cant help but flashing to the Horman case right now, and the cops literally felt that Kaine Horman needed to know the truth about his wife and her lies, in this case, they let Ron think everything was ok, and Misty was not lying, and let them go on their merry way and feel comfy, and look at them now!

If Ron really wasn't responsible for Haleigh's disappearance, I'd like for Misty to come completely clean, on what did happen-with the stipulation that Ron not get a deal. That might seem a little vindictive on her part, but I think him withholding information is vindictive. & it would be a good trade off for LE, because if Ron really was at work, what could he say, that would compare to what Misty could say? If I was Ron's attorney, I'd be worried about this happening, since nothing has been signed, on the dotted line.

I know cops can lie, to help an investigation, but can they lie about the results of a poly? or are they bound to say nothing at all?

Odem was a great host, a nice change. I just wish she would have called Shoemaker on the sentencing of misty and asked why does ron get the tough charges knocked out and misty doesn't?

Also they said Tommy will get charged on Possession (at the bus stop). I have yet to see anyone charged with possession in those files. So it seems that Showmaker is leading the band with this sentencing propoganda.

Why haven't we seen any tommy tapes on his drug arrest? There has to be a very good reason and I suspect it wasn't a real strong case.

Well, I'm giving a high five to Odem for sitting in for Nancy Grace and stating several times that Ron was getting a very sweet deal. She did not mind pointing this out and also pointing out the very clear, color video with the marvelous audio and what a lot of us are saying: ie., why give a deal to someone who is caught on camera committing the crimes? Of course it is about Haleigh. I just can not see how Ron will make himself come out smelling like a rose in Haleigh's case. I do however hope that any and all information comes out, including any involvement on the Cummings side of this case. I don't have to worry about the Croslin's information coming out, that appears to be all that has been coming out in the last seventeen months. I'm also wondering how LE is going to vet Ron's testimony or is he to be believed just because he will be swearing to tell the truth? This is my biggest concern about his testimony....I feel that he will be saying anything to cover his own butt and we along with LE will be sitting here six months from now still trying to figure out the real story.
