The silence is killing me.

Remember things were a bit quiet in the several days before the whole "second person in the truck" thing and the sudden pick up of search activity. I'm hoping this is just the silence before the storm...a really, really BIG storm....where Kyron is found and his perpetrator brought to justice.

I don't know what to think... DeDe hasn't been back to testify yet, has she..??? Maybe, it is a pause..??

Maybe they've come to the conclusion that there's just not enough evidence to arrest Terri?

IDK...

No I'm here listening :)

I just don't know what to think or what's going on. I hate thinking it's just been put on hold because new information out there has changed everything this late in the game.

Where is Kyron? I just really really thought he would be home by now. Every day when you post those pics of him on "Today's Current News" it makes me want to cry.

I'm kinda iffy on seeing DeDE testifying at the GJ, if they are thinking of her as a suspect, they won't call her, I don't think, unless there is some kind of immunity. There might be more people, I hope anyway, called if they get any more witnesses after the last flier.

So frustrating, isn't it? We were all hoping something conclusive would come from the GJ hearings. Instead, it looks like new information has come to light, and now LE is working the "third person" angle. Well, whatever it takes to get to the truth. We just have to be patient and keep the faith. I can't imagine what the waiting is like for the family.

Good evening, BeanE. I just logged in and appreciate your keeping us up-to-speed on the latest news regarding this case. I'm getting a little weary about the lack of progress in this case but will wait it out a bit more for dear, sweet Kyron. If he is alive, this innocent child needs to be returned promptly to the parents who love him and miss him. If Kyron has met with an untimely demise, which I hope and pray is not the case, this beloved boy needs to be brought home for a proper burial so that his parents can begin the arduous journey toward peace in their lives. jmo

My theory as to why the District Attorney convened a GJ is a little different. I don’t believe that the DA thought he had sufficient evidence to get an indictment at this point. I think that the DA wanted to get "on record" the testimony of the key “witnesses” that LE has unearthed so far. Memory is a mutable thing, and there is nothing like the gravitas of testifying before a Grand Jury to “fix” a memory in mind. Witnesses that have testified before a GJ are more likely to tell precisely the same story six or twelve months hence to a trial jury, I suspect, than witnesses who have spoken with LE, but not testified before a GJ. It is not unusual in complex cases for a Grand Jury to meet sporadically over a period of time to hear evidence as it accumulates.

Excellent point, palladore.

I'm having huge issues with WS tonight... with freezing, etc. I dunno if I'm the only one... lol

I am in a deep conversation about the Ground Zero mosque on FB. But I am here and praying for good news soon.

I think the Grand Jury was probably investigative...

Yup... LE put out that news conference asking the public for info, and they are now looking at that info, IMHO. Takes some time, I'm guessing, to weed thru opinion versus fact. THEY know what they are looking for, but we don't at this time, MOOOOO.

Thank you kindly for the info. Do you know if the evidence presented to the Grand Jury is general (ie all evidence LE has collected in a particular case) or is the evidence targeted towards an individual (ie all evidence LE has against Terri)?

Maybe they're just on a break. I hope so. If the prosecutor can't get an indictment, then we have a real problem.

It is quite possible the prosecutor running this GJ went on vacation. They do get to step away from their job from time to time. Could have been planned months in advance.
