JA pushes in chairs at State's table, defense leaves theirs in disarray....

I know this is strange thing to do but you can see her pulse in her neck artery, I counted it and it was 84 - normal is between 70 to 100. She seems to be quite calm.

side note - Cindy looked upset?
Now that's impressive, I don't know if we've ever had Casey's vital signs taken during a hearing. You may be the first okiedokietoo !

Anyone catch what Finnell was talking to JA about at the end there? He didn't give her time of day...

I heard them speak..I thought they were professional and cordial to each other..and Ashton said Thank you to her as she walked away and she replied.

Reports are generally not admissible anyway. The SA can find out the expert's opinions through deposition, and the expert has to actually explain his opinions at trial--he can't just say, "read my report."

I thought formal reports were discoverable though, no? In other words, they could be used to impeach the expert should his/her testimony change on the stand.

Wasn't she giving him her list of mitigation witnesses? So they can discuss them by phone later?

That is one of my pet peeves....Etiquette.:blushing:
I am always on my family about pushing their chairs in when they get up from the table..no matter where we are..home at restaurants...

I feel a bit dissatisfied with everything, can't quite put my finger on why...maybe because KC was giggling and smiling again and JB didn't get a smackdown.

The defense female atty (I don't remember her name either) seems to be someone the state can actually deal with. A few times, when she was speaking, JB looked like he was going to spring out of his seat...I like her.

Joez had also attempted several times to butt in and interrupt while the prosecution was speaking. Not only extremely rude, but being a lawyer, he has got to know better.

Was there any interaction between Kasee and her loving mother and dad? Did anybody see?

I can't believe I spelled KC "Kasee"...that is our law clerk's name! hahahahaha

It really irratates me to see Casey smirking and laughing and passing notes. Wait until RL hits her though. It just doesn't seem to really have sunk in yet!

I didn't see any interaction, but "loving dad" wasn't there today (loving mom was).

Judge - I take your experts do not intend on authoring any reports.

JB - Correct

Still catching up on this thread, so if this has already been addressed, please just ignore....

Are the defense experts not writing reports because it is a way for the defense to not have to turn over anything to the prosecution, or is it because the defense had no findings that would exhonorate (sp) KC?

Yep..so far in this circus..she has impressed me the most out of all the clowns who have appeared on the defense team.

I'm thinking it's the second one. They don't know want the prosecution to know how right they are and how wrong the defense is.
