Sure wish they'd bring in TES. They could search all week!

Am..that has been bought up so many times...I can't believe they have not. SARX...have you a viewpoint one way or another in regards to bringing in TES ? Just curious...Thank you! By the way, you are a very special person and what you bring here. I personally, appreciate your knowledge and your own personal concern , not just for Kyron, but for all the threads you follow and give your expertise to that. And you follow a bunch of missing children threads...I feel I know where you heart is...

Thank you for the kind words.

Honestly, I think that the SO up there has done a very good job in calling in the teams that they need. There are some highly trained specialized teams in the Pacific Northwest and they have called on them multiple times. The teams working this are familiar with the area, the terrain and the conditions that are typical for the area. They have experience, and I don't think that TES is needed at this point. I think people are just familiar with the name TES and may not always realize that there are a lot of other highly trained groups out there, some even more so than TES. This is no way a bash against TES. They are a great resource for areas where there are none or where they are short on personnel. This is not one of those situations though (from what I can tell/have heard.)

Okay. I’m OT given this latest discussion. I guess. But, at some point, we were talking about the possibility of distances v. timelines. I’m here to address/comment on that discussion. (I was a Campfire Girl. I know squat about Eagle Scouts or teenage search teams. BUT … Boy howdy, I DID sell some mean van Dyne mints.)

IMO, all timelines as reported by MSM are unsubstantiated. The single “trustworthy” MSM witness we have re: TH’s timeline (FM #2 @ approx 9:30-10:00 am) is Grand Jury witness AL, a woman who garnered two MSM appearances and two Grand Jury appearances within four months … involving two different cases. Just sayin’.

The LE pix asking “did you see this truck” at the two FM locations …? It could be a case of LE TRYING to verify what TH claimed; claims that surveillance video couldn’t verify. But … if LE didn’t ask, the defense would screw them. They asked. Possibly (just possibly) the only “witness” was AL, the woman who has managed to be ‘in the right place at the right time too often.’

… and then there IS that question why TH, in an email on June 5th, failed to mention seeing Grand Jury witness AL.

MHO: All bets are off re: what WE know about TH’s timeline on June 4th. LE knows much more. IMO.

Given that, let’s not discount TH’s involvement given MSM timelines and today’s search areas. I suppose I should add, it’s POSSIBLE TH had nothing to do with Ky’s disappearance. It’s possible.

"They say" that killers dumping a body usually go to a place they're familiar with and comfortable with, but this is a remote area that doesn't seem to connect to anybody in Kyron's family. Is anybody in the family into target shooting or hiking? Is there another reason why somebody would be up on those roads -- like to get to somewhere else? It looks like those hills just go on and on, and are pretty rugged too.

This location has me thinking stranger abduction again.

I say let the teens search... I've seen X-box and other games that are pretty gory, and teach them that it is ok to kill people and police too... I think that is a good thing to show teens, (who can handle it) a positive to the negative... No one is forcing these teens into it..they are doing it because they want to help... and thats a great thing..!! as far as I am conserned.. My son want's too help too... sure he's seen things he didn't want to, but he VOLUNTEERED to help...and does not reget on minute of it, (and just came home from Afghan. a month ago...) and considering re-enlisting...
Please do not underestimate teens...they are much more grown up these days... these teens are volunteering because they believe they CAN handle it... and who am I to say they can't..!!

not sure what the current search locations have me leaning towards. I am assuming that these areas may be commonly travelled on the way to somewhere else and are familiar to whoever was responsible. I just don't have an opinion on whether they tend to point more or less to TH. I do feel these are good search sites given that there are heavily wooded, brushy, areas that make them good places in general to dispose of someone :(

We also have to prepare ourselves for the possibility that it came from a bad tip. Wouldn't be the first time.

Maybe she used Logie trail fairly often as alternative route to ... her gym ... ?

I really don't know, but Locals, feel free to chime in!

I hear it's a pretty drive...if not a bit longer...from reading that it's a popular bike-trip route?

I wasn't thinking of Logie trail, I was thinking of those places way up on Dixie Mountain Road.

Somebody we've heard about is or used to be a cyclist. DeDe, maybe? Can't even remember where I read it...Dang, the old brain is rotting clear through...

So, it seems that the media may have lead us astray again? I'm about ready to discount all media coverage unless they have a live video feed of what they are talking about.

I've done a bit of poking around and at this time I would caution against putting too much weight on "the bone" found last month.

I think I wanted closure so bad on a case, any case at this point, that I may have believed the hype too. Someone go ahead and slap me, I blame exhaustion!

I believe talk about a bone being found was just speculation... that maybe they found one before and that is why they were searching this location now.

I have seen no report that says they found a bone during a previous search, or at any point.

The only mention I have seen of a bone is the one searcher who was overheard saying they were looking for bones during the Sauvie Island search... and then this handler who said it was harder for his dog to find bones than fluids.

I could have missed something else though.

Agreed. I am leaning towards cautious optimism. I am hopeful. Just sayin, I can see why a lead in those areas would make LE want to investigate, the areas seem to fit the profile of an area I would think would be a good disposal site.

Hey guys. We don't discuss this "bone" up here. It's considered rumor. Take it to the private forum please.

There is NOTHING to substantiate a bone was found.

Yes, DeDe was a cyclist and Terri helped her out by driving to give her water and things like that.

Frog..give your Son Big hugs from me...what a wonderful young man you have raised...God Bless you and your wonderful son!

CB..you know I luv ya...but in this case..they won't even allow the parents to search......we don't know what age there is in this search/rescue... 18 year olds out seeking for a possible deceased child, to me is a whole lot different...Hey, I was a military wife at 18...my husband was 19 when he joined the Army...but when he joined he wasn't out there looking for a possible body of a young child...he was out there to serve our country...

But . . . I don't know how to say this delicately . . . they aren't looking for a "body" anymore. It would be bones and they might be scattered.

Someone asked earlier today if the body would be "preserved" by cold weather. But no, not after all this time. Kyron disappeared in May, right? It wasn't cold over the summer and fall.

Can we assume that LE has closed these areas off as potential crime scenes? If not, what is to prevent every curious person in Portland from mucking around up there where LE has alluded there may be clues or a body? It makes me nervous for them to say they will come back off and on throughout the month to search. Whatever evidence they find can be destoyed by people who are now drawn to this area since it has been in the news.

There was a witness that seen a white truck , driven by a red head, north of Logie Rd.. Charles something...

Thanks...
He thinks WebSleuths are heroe's too.. Tell's me to tell everyone Thanks for the great thoughts and appreciation...!!! He says we are all heroes in are own way..!! :great:

At this point, I don't know what they are looking for...having said that, why put a unexperienced individual in there for search and rescue ? Now if that whole team that was out there today was, seasoned and experienced..that's a great thing..if not... shame on the co-ordinator of that team...

In the course of the Ky discussion, it's obvious WS members outside of the PNW are unable to visualize the landscape and the lifestyle. Yes. It's rugged, steep, heavily forested, choked with undergrowth, wet, slimy, moldy.

But we consider these wet, moldy forests as "ours" whether we own them or not. We tromp around in them. Property lines mean little. It's not unusual for Locals to know the back roads, roads often built by and maintained by private forest companies.

"Is there another reason why somebody would be up on those roads?" you ask .

Uh. Yeah.
