Because she HAD to call CPS because someone else was gonna call CPS on her about DD's tattoo - the call had to be made to CPS to beat whoever to the punch before they could call. JHMO

Exactly..just because she didn't have to go the *typical* CPS route, complete with court date and all...She throws out the 'no court' thing..IMO, they let her know she could help place him where she preferred or they would..

The fact that she admitted to having to sign papers - well, that right there tells me that the State was more involved than she would like everyone to believe.

Possibly..I still feel (JMO) that since LE wasn't/isn't sure who all was involved from the get go..CPS was brought in very early on. Just speculation on my part though...

I agree 100% - that's what I was trying to say when I said it was before LE "cleared" her.

The only real life experience I have with something like this CPS presented it like you can cooperate and we can come up with a plan together (in this case probably the choice of the uncle as long as he had a clean background), or we will go to court and we will make our recommendation and then it is out of both of our hands. The judge will make the decision based on reading his file. Up to you, I have to do my job either way.

I listened to Billie's interview tonight, and when I finished, I came straight here to WS to read the comments.

I enjoyed the comments (and many of them had me laughing my butt off) !

In MY OPINION ...

Billie is NOT keeping the focus on Hailey ... Billie's focus is "damage control" for "Lover Boy" Shawn (and maybe even herself).

And Billie's interview tonight clearly showed that ... she tried to portray SA as a "compassionate" person, that Hailey and SA got along (maybe not at first but down the road), blah blah blah ...

How in the heck can anyone be in love with someone who is a SUSPECT in your's daughter's disappearance/death ?

bd: sliver nitrate sticks stain skin. brought them home from work. DD and friend drew on each other. no tattoo or carvings

Actually silver nitrate kills skin, chemical burning.
I have a disabled son with a gtube. he has had bulbs of tissue emerge.
The hh nurse brings silver nitrate sticks, which look a bit like a long qtips, and rolls it on the tissue, which causes the tissue to wither up, turn black, as the tissue dies, and then it falls off. It's kinda like a newborns umbilical cord, the process/appearance of it.

She certainly feels free to take stuff from work.
I can't even imagine letting my kids do that. What is she thinking?

If there was any paperwork involved in having her son go "stay with his uncle" or whatever, then it was not just a simple little thing that she decided to do. Clearly someone in authority was involved.
Does she think the public is so stupid?
Why does she talk about anything besides Hailey and what is being done to find her?
SA's name should not be uttered by her mouth unless she is talking to LE, telling them everything she knows about him.

Beautiful post. You are so right. And I agree with you that LE is listening. And they are hearing her bash them and imply they are ignoring valid suspects. And they know precisely why she is doing so. Her Mystery Man Tour must be quite the topic of discussion around the department.

B and S together 2 1/2 years. BD us in love with S. not living there but still talking on the phone. BD says she guesses they are still together. They need to be there for each other. He's not living with her because of the "mess" going on right now

No emotion from BD (that I can detect) after hearing a song written about her missing daughter.

And while the host of the show who does not know her missing daughter is crying.

not at ballon release...no one called to remind her.....

Okay... I'm heartless, I'm cold, I show no emotion.

Yet, I know that Hailey's birthday is August 28th. I will not need a reminder for a balloon launch that day, for a child I do not know who is in another state. She joins other August girls, Caylee (the 9th) and Haleigh (the 17th).

I also remembered Zahra's birthday, Kyron's birthday and Nevaeh's birthday, who are not in the same month as my own. Oh and I have an awful memory.
