2011.02.19 - Desiree puts on the pressure in Roseburg

I said I wasn't going to post but, I just have to say my heart just dropped when Desiree said she believes Ky is dead. However I believe and am glad that Jesus has him. He's happy and free, no tragedy, no pain. And if they have strong evidence against Terri as Desiree said, than that is good news. I hope this case will come to a close soon. And Lord I pray be Desiree's comfort and peace, just give her a big, big hug Lord. Be with all those who love Ky.

Still praying and will continue to.
 
Thanks for the warm welcome, I have been reading all of your posts for a long time now, always reluctant to join in though....don't know why!! I have worked for a small local enforcement agency for about 16 years now and we do alot of "stranger danger" type programs, also get tons of flyers regarding missing kids. I printed Kyron's poster up and put it on our board, we are light years from portland (PA) but had to do it for him. thank God we have never had to deal with anything this horrific.

Desiree spoke in the video about the email Terri wrote about Kyron.

"We know Terri blamed Kyron for her failing marriage and wanted him out of her life. She put that all in writing. We know that Terri is responsible and yet she remains silent."

Who did Terri send these emails to---the ones where she said it was Kyrons fault her marriage was crumbling, and the ones where she allegedly said she 'hated' Kyron? She didn't send them to desiree did she?

Now this is definitely a mother who would move mountains to find her son. She is outstanding and I am so proud of her for what she did today!!!
 
It's obvious and understandable that Desiree is desperate. I think her "faith" in LE may be diminishing, when she states "if I'm not going to do it who will?". IMO this is a scary tactic she's using. Scary for her and her family. IF something were to *happen* to Terri at this point, who do you think would be held accountable for possibly insighting that action? It's one thing for LE to issue a "wanted" poster, it's another thing entirely for someone else to put up posters that are in effect promoting harassment of another individual, one that has not even been charged with anything no less.

We can all understand her frustration as much as we probably can't understand Kaine's comment to "be patient", but this is scary stuff.

And by the way, I can vouch for the fact that there are already a lot of flyers of Kyron all around Roseburg, as well as the other small surrounding towns. People around here talk about it a lot. Remember, Terri grew up in Roseburg, so even probably more than other places, Kyron is not forgotten, and discussion is there. So, I'm not sure why Desiree is saying that no one recognizes Kyron's face around here, that's just not true. Though I don't live in Roseburg, I shop there, go to doctors there, get gas there, etc., etc.,, it is the Douglas County seat, so much business is done there. Anyway, I've never run into TH and the town is not that large, and neither have any of my friends, some of whom live there, so I've wondered for months now if Terri is even living there.

This is not a good idea in my opinion, not at all. I don't believe it will help find Kyron. If Terri had something to do with this, and there is someone out there who knows something about it, I just think this sort of thing will further push them away from ever coming forward. JMO

BBM: I read WB for a while before I decided to post, and it was Kyron's case that really "got to me" -- so hearbreaking !!! I remember the first time I saw Kyron's photo on the news when he was reported missing ... it was so heartbreaking !! I, too, check the news everyday for any news on this adorable little boy.

I just hope they find him soon !

From the beginning I have believed that Terri murdered Kyron. IMHO only.

IMO she will never admit anything, instead saying "Prove it."

She planned to murder Kyron's father, but couldn't pull it off. IMO, at this point in time she is happy to be causing him so much pain since he's still alive. She hated him because he was going to dump her, something her self-love could not accept. She was infuriated at being rejected. Terri is thrilled to be causing Kyron's mom so much pain, too. Moulton is a sick selfish sadist, IMO.

I can't believe that Terri is doing that well under all this suspicion and pressure, but there are those who support and entertain her. Speaking of that, what's happened to her girlfriend? The sheriff's daughter? Bet she's no longer a friend of Terri's. Terri is the kind of vampire monster who will suck the life out of any living being, be it man, woman, child or innocent animal.

IMO terri knew a good place to hide Kyron's body to get rid of him. I doubt that justice will ever be served in this case, even if she admits to someone that she did it - shades of Aruba murderer Joran (sp?).

Terri will sabotage herself in other ways, tho, and will be involved in other crimes again that she may not get away with next time. She is not wired right. She feels no guilt or shame. I believe that she's quite pleased with herself at this point, thinking herself smart, which she is not. She's evil and lucky.

It's been so long, I doubt that the poor dear boy's remains will ever be found and that is what she's smugly thinking.
 
Does anyone know what the bottom of those posters say? It looks like it says alot. I wonder what it is?
 
I sympathize with Terri's parents and regret that they are going to be made uncomfortable by housing a person under suspicion who is clearly loathed by a lot of people. I can't help thinking, though, that having my fellow locals hound my daughter in this manner would less harrowing than suddenly finding out that my daughter was an explicit sexter--whose sexts were now known to the whole world.

But above all, being hounded by locals and learning about the sexting would both pale in comparison to realizing there was any chance at all, however remote, that my daughter had done irreversible harm to a 7 year old child. You know, once you face down that possibility ... well, all the rest has got to be a dull roar.

The Moultons raised a child. An adopted child whom they went out of their way to receive. They must certainly have some understanding of Desiree's pain. They must certainly have some idea of what they'd do in her place.

For now, the Moultons are standing by Terri. I would likely do the same if she were my child. While I might not want her to face harrowing trials and prison sentences if she was my child, I would not want her to get away with anything like kidnapping or murder either. I don't think "getting away with it" would even be in her best interest. If she is guilty, she will never be able to move on in any real sense until show owns up to what she's done.

Right now I think Terri's life must be pretty limited. She is losing her access to the world outside her parents home. If she has any phone or Internet contact, it's monitored. This much has already been proven. If she has any friends left, getting together with them is going to be difficult, and the other parties are going to have to decide carefully how open they want to be about ongoing relationships with her.

It seems to me that the least complicated companionship she's got right now is with her parents. It seems to me that the people who are likely to have the most influence on her are her parents.

As long as people are only asking "where's Kyron?" I don't think the pressure is going to hurt any of them a bit. The way I see it, everyone is pretty much where they' ve chosen to be right now.

The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office has not revealed details of the investigation, but the Sheriff is expected to update commissioners next week. Young said Saturday that she’s confident in the investigation, but said it’s time to name a suspect.

“We’re confident that what they’re doing is all the right stuff, and every bit of information we’ve gotten from them has reassured us of that,” said Young, but added she believes it’s time to name a suspect.

“We have overwhelming evidence,” said Young.

The Missing KH FB page says this as an update about 10 minutes ago.

Desiree Horman just told KATU News she absolutely does NOT believe Kyron is dead, despite what another agency is reporting. We'll have her actions today in Roseburg at 6.

Desiree is referring to emails she said that LE shared with her. We do not know what they specifically said nor to whom they were written. All we know is that Desiree said they showed that Terri hated Kyron and blamed him for her (Terri's) marital problems. They have never been released to the public and IIRC, Kaine has not commented on their content.

bbm, I find this comment reallly interesting. I guess it's obvious that LE, the GJ and the DA don't think they have "overwhelming evidence" or Terri's butt would be in jail. So who is WE? Tony is LE, so if he is the WE that thinks that. but the other LE in this case don't think so, I gotta wonder what they know that Desi & Tony have NOT been briefed on. There's gotta be some kind of wrench in the works.
 
I think Desiree's "we" is kind of a royal we...she feels there is overwhelming evidence, no matter what LE might say or feel.
 
Desiree is not stalking/harrassing Terri. She went to her house to try and speak with her and Terri hid, like the coward she is. There is no law that states Desiree cannot go down to Roseburg and post signs/banners about her missing Son. Nor is there any law that states a person cannot ask other people to ask someone a mere question. She's not encouraging a riot, she's not encouraging violence. She's asking people to ask a question. If people take it further and become violent or aggressive that is their issue and THEY NEED TO BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR OWN BEHAVIOR....RIGHT TERRI? You cannot control anyone's behavior but your own. Encouraging people to ask questions of Terri about Kyron is in fact harmless and perfectly legal.

So, Terri.....Where's Kyron?

Then I have to wonder if she was looking at them objectively. I know if I read anything anyone says about my kids I have a hard time being objective. I couldn't imagine reading something that their father's new wife might say.

IMO, if they say outright, " I hate Kyron, he ruined my marriage " I will be surprised. It may well be something more along the lines of 'Kaine and I have been arguing a lot lately and we have very little alone time anymore, and Kyron is more needy than ever. " Something more along those lines.

If she really said " I HATE that kid, he is ruining my life" then I think she would have been named a suspect and even been arrested already. JMO
