If they don't want to effectively work with the other search groups to find Hailey, then IMO, they have made a poor decision. I can't fathom why they wouldn't work with the other search groups. It's not about Billie, it's about Hailey.
And, did I miss something about that Billie is deciding where people search?
I agree it is really messed up. And I do not agree with their decision. However I can kind of understand how it all fell apart.
I did not say she 'decides' where people search. All I am saying is that she is working very closely with the other groups. She will be attending a training session with them in Dallas, and be one of their featured speakers. Meanwhile they are in charge of Hailey's search. I see it as kind of a conflict of interest, because unlike most moms of missing kids, Billie seems intent upon misdirecting and deflecting.
I know in the few searches I took part in, the parents were key in helping decide where to put the boots on the ground. LE assumed the family knew where the missing might go, where they hung out previously etc.
