I am going to say again. BD is not the one who broke this story. It was the search group by saying they were not going to search anymore because BD said things to them that offended them. It is my opinion that BD is now in a defensive position and she is defending herself. She is not the one who started it. If I am wrong I stand corrected. jmo

If by saying 'called her on it' you mean that they threatened not to search anymore? That in my opinion is pitiful, immature, and selfish.

According to one of the admins on Red's page Clint was upset about it and was supposed to be making a statement. It was the first night that all of this broke out about the searchers quitting.

I agree. They shouldn't care what Billie said or did about them. This is supposed to be about HAILEY DARLENE DUNN which is my issue with the whole entire thing.

That's not what I mean at all. I mean when the lady went to the door as they were leaving and told her what the dinner and video were for. Why in the world would I say I was glad they called her on it and quit searching...sheesh.

That lady should have kept her a@@ in her chair and her mouth shut. IMO. Billie and Clint were leaving already. Someone saw they were upset by the video and asked it be turned off. Then Clint and Billie are like okay we should leave because this isnt for us..etc.. And then she confronts them telling them how hard she worked on it?

Um..excuse me lady but you have to distraught parents who right now dont care how hard you worked on a video that just crushed them. Wo called who out? IMO

Well from my understanding Clint was pretty upset by the whole dinner too and is also going to be making a statement on it.

Maybe someone invited CD or someone advised him to go and out of good will to BD he invited her saying how nice these people had been.? IDK what the scenario was, but there was miscommunication somewhere, and not handled very well. I'm sure jaws dropped when she (BD) walked in. Someone should have explained to CD on the side and anticipated BD's reaction to the video. imo

It was an APPRECIATION Dinner FOR the SEARCHERS. It was not about Billie, and not even primarily about Hailey. IT was about THANKING the volunteers.

So billie complains that watching the video brought up negative emotions. IT WAS NOT DESIGNED FOR BILLIE TO WATCH.

I understood that it might have been innapropriate when I first heard the story. BUT NOW THAT I KNOW BILLIE CRASHED THE EVENT, I fully support the video. It was meant for the volunteers to see, not Billie.

Exactly........and I'm sure that by the end of the conversation she and BD both had said plenty. That's why the next day they were ready to quit. But I don't believe for one moment this lady went and jumped on BD from the get go.

Billie is doing more than defending herself, she is throwing them under the bus.
Billie has gone to the media a few times and always manages to make disparaging remarks. She makes comments about them asking for gas money. Is that supposed to make them evil?

She implied it was insensitive to show a video of them 'searching' when Billie was not even supposed to be watching that video. Why blame them for that?
She is the one that crashed THEIR event.

She said the video and the thank u banners were mostly about HA, and not the other search groups. THE DINNER WAS FOR HA, not the other groups.

Billie has made many rude comments about them. She is trying to make the public dismiss them as a reputable group.

This group has been out there working hard, voluntarily, EVERY SINGLE DAY. That is the difference between them and Billie imo.
