<BBM>

I don't recall the info about Hailey being told not to leave the house! Is this new info....or something she "just remembered"? Also, I just can't get over how she always makes a point to get Shawn's name in the story and defend him. This is her daughter, damm!t!!:banghead:

Mother Still Believes Hailey Dunn was Abducted
Wednesday, February 23 2011

The mother of the missing Colorado City teen believes her child was abducted within a six-block area of their home in the Mitchell County community.
“I think some stranger came in and took her,” said Billie Jean Dunn Tuesday afternoon. “That’s been my gut feeling from the beginning”.

She added that her daughter, 13-yearold Hailey Dunn, could not have been coerced to get in a stranger’s car. “She had to be forced in.”

“I told her not to leave the house that day, but she did. She could have been walking to a store, or to play basketball", Billie Dunn added.

Adkins is the only named suspect in the disappearance.

“But I know Shawn had nothing to do with Hailey’s disappearance,” she added.

When did she tell Hailey not to leave the house?

And what does she mean that Hailey did leave the house?

And if she told Hailey not to leave the house, and she did, then why didn't she call her when Shawn told her Hailey had left?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
What. When did all this happen? She told Hailey not to leave the house that day? Play basketball.
Oh OH...another possible crime scene at the basketball court.
I wonder if she lost her re-write friend and decided to start "her-his" story all over again. This is truly mind-boggling. There is a lot more she had to say in this interview with Big Country, but it needs more disecting to figure it out.
ETA IMO
I half expected her to say in the article that "denial is a river in Egypt". I don't think she is involved in the disappearance or cover up. She beleives Shawn which makes her the most naive person in the world.
She changes her story to help SA...... that's more than just believing him, that's covering for him. A crime in itself.
That is true... point taken.
In most cases, one partner will continually speak out in the media that the other partner is innocent of any wrong doing......especially if the one partner KNOWS the other is involved and guilty, and in THIS case, named a suspect.....
If the suspect is indeed innocent, and the partner KNOWS he/she is....There would be no need to continually, constantly, keep "beating that drum" to the media....
IMO....B is even more desperately..trying to steer the investigation away from S....
The heat is getting ....HOTTER.....It's just a matter of time....
It is interesting to watch B keep changing up stories......Only 1 reason to do that...to protect S
THE TRUTH....STAYS.....THE TRUTH......
all in my own opinion and my 2 cents
Almost 8 weeks in, and this is the first we're hearing this! I don't believe it. I don't believe a single word of it.
Looks like we are going into the blame Hailey phase..........
Sumtin tells me there is a phone call to the house on Monday that cannot be explained away.
Never on Nancy Grace, Never in BD's "Set the Record Straight" news conference, never in any other news conference or interview, never in 57 days have we ever heard that she communicated with Hailey at all in those 2 days. She saw her sleeping allegedly on Monday morning. She didn't speak to her. She didn't know where she was until Shawn told her she had left around 3pm to go to her father's house and MB's. She didn't try to call her at all for the next 22 to 24 hours.
And now "she told her not to leave?" What happened to the MB story? 57 days into the investigation into her daughter going missing and she is saying she told her not to leave? What day was this? When did she tell her not to leave and if she did when she found out that she was allegedly at MB's for a sleepover why did she not go looking for her?
I am not buying this add on to the story at this late date. :nono:
She's tripping all over herself. I think she could be right on the verge of totally loosing it.
Ok Clint come out come out wherever you are..... Really would like to hear what he thinks of all this B.S.
Billie, why would Hailey, who seemingly pretty much came and went at will, be forbidden to leave the house on a holiday Monday? And when did you give her this curious order? Was she not allowed to cross over the field to her dad's? And what street would she have been on long enough between your house and her dad's house in in order to, just by chance, be wrestled into a vehicle by force? With all of the "witnesses" claiming to see Hailey all over town, I wonder why no one would witness a violent abduction in broad daylight.
Preemptive strike for what may or may not have been found in the landfill... IMO.
She is getting her new version of events ready for the I AM NOT BUYING IT rally.
I think she is going to try and become a professional missing kids speaker, and travel the circuit. She can become a professional, and be the victim here.
I TOLD HER NOT TO LEAVE THE HOUSE TODAY, AND LOOK WHAT HAPPENED. MY LIFE WITH MY BF IS RUINED.
You posted EXACTLY what was going through my head.
She knows, probably via CZ, that people are in a flutter about her going to the human trafficking rally, so this is her way of making it all fit.
And yes, BD can go on to become a professional victim.
So two months later she adds a new spin on the situation. Now she says she told Hailey not to leave the house. I guess that is her way of deflecting the blame from herself and SA.
"I'm not buying it"
Yup. She told her not to leave the safety of the house, the house the wonderful
boyfriend shared with them.
Billie just knew some scary stranger was hiding in the basketball courts.
Hey, wait, what about the RedBox video receipt?
