She had ample opportunities to explain things that way on Nancy Grace just a week after the child disappeared, but she never acted like it was any big deal at all that Hailey left the house. It's just much too late to change her story this way.

BILLIE DUNN: I just don`t have an answer for that. I wish I would have called to tell her good night. I wish I would have called the little girl`s phone that night.

GRACE: Billie, when your little girl would go for a sleepover, didn`t the family typically know she was coming?

DUNN: She usually asked me first. And then would ask the other family. Sometimes she would ask them first. I thought, yes, they knew she had intentions of spending the night. They should have known.

GRACE: So was there ever a time she took off for a sleepover without Mary Beth`s family or you knowing?

DUNN: No. I always knew where she was. If she had been at a friend`s too long, and not asked to spend the night, I need to get ahold of somebody.

GRACE: So Billie, is this the first time she`s ever gone away for a sleepover without asking you specifically?

DUNN: She`s left notes or -- no, she`s let us know.

GRACE: I`m talking about you. Did she always tell you, her mother, that she was going to go spend the night?

DUNN: Well, no, usually if she stayed somewhere it was with Clint, and she would tell David or Shawn, if mom was at work, let mom know I`m going to -- I plan on spending the night with so and so.

She didn't even give any reason why she wanted Hailey to stay at home just that particular day that she was going to disappear even if it was perfectly normal for her to keep out of sight any other day.

If any of you have ever actually driven by BD's, CD's former home, that whole area-you would see in a lof of ways a stranger abduction doesn't really jive. It's a good 6-8 blocks off I-20. I used to work as a LVN at Mitchell Co hospital and the old hospital is right down the street from BD-I actually would take off down that way because I knew it would take me right to the hospital and I would miss any Hickory Street traffic. Anyways, it's not likely for a random stranger to take a jaunt down off I-20, on that particular street, just happen to see HD walking-stop, force her in a vehicle and leave w/o someone seeing/hearing anything. I just watched a story on Investigation Discovery channel about a yound, somewhat unstable young lady going missing after a night of drinking-her vehicle and she was spotted and by the time LE would get to the area in NJ where most of the sightings were, she would be gone. Bottom line-the family and a former LE think that young lady was probably abducted and put into sex slavery. There were sightings-many, many, many sightings of her and they figured that her captor knew they were on to them and he would move her. We haven't had that with this poor baby. Nothing like that. Gut feeling is this "story" isn't true. Truth doesn't change. When you lie, you have to remember...truth, you don't. I know that if my daughter had left w/o permission, I went and got her butt and she was grounded! Just the area, drive off I-20 to the area, just too far for someone to just take off from I-20.

In regards to RedBox- My daughter googled the nearest RB location to Alco-it's at Stripes...just off I-20... Alco is a goooood distance down Hickory Street... and the time of the receipt-at that 8:30ish time- it was DARK and it would be hard to recognize someone walking...especially when you are in a vehicle, which this person would have to have been in!! As daughter said, I don't care about some stupid receipt-unless she wrote HD wuz here!!! and dated it-the receipt is nothing more that just a time when you dropped off/rented a movie! I have never believed that sighting for a few reasons. I doubt that Hailey could have been out in public walking around with MB, and nobody other than this lady saw her. If they were walking around that night, MANY kids would have seen her. The kids always know where other kids are. If MB REALLY had been with Hailiey that night we would have headr the rumors already.
And I doubt that MB is a good enough liar to fool the FBI about where she was that night.
I never believed that sighting, but pointed it out mainly to say that Billie seems to be discounting it now.

It didnt have to be someone traveling from I-20. They could live in the neighborhood. They could be anyone. I am a local to an area that was victim to 3 abductions. The guy worked with people in the same county and went to high school not far away. It was shocking. He forced one girl in his car or truck in one abduction and the next abduction he took two girls. Less than 15 miles from where he lived in a very small town (then ) like CC. One teen missing one month then 3 teens in less then a year. They found all there bodies thankfully.They didnt have a clue who commited the crime and arrested a guy in flordia. He was called in on a tip and then became the suspect and was arrested. The locals hated him condemed him. His daughter went to school here. He was never charged and it died off but it took years for a 15 year old girl to solve their case by escaping him. He is suspected in other states and cases but FBI hasnt release information. How many of his victims are still missing? How long had he been killing?

You may think your safe in a small town but your not. Paul John Kwowles drove all over different states killing and kidnapping. He got off the interest to rape and kill a woman in her home who lived 6 miles from the interstate in a place so remote he had to wonder if he was going to ever see people again. That place was next to my mothers.

Until there is proof SA did something with Hailey I am holding on to this as a possibilty as I have seen first hand what a ''Stranger'' can do. He was a local.

It is Ironic in my area that the the only people reported missing who turned out to be abducted( 8 people) only 2 of those was by someone they know. I only counted people reported missing who turned out to be abducted.

ETA also 6 of the 8 people were found murdered.
