Sunday, 10:05 p.m. Update:
Evacuations have been called off as fire crews get a better handle on the blaze. Pete Kampfer tells bigcountryhomepage.com things now appear to be better under control.

Interstate 20 is now reopened.

The Texas Forest Service estimates 5,000 acres were torched. It's unclear exactly how many structures burned.

Another big one has broke out............

A wildfire erupted in Taylor County late Sunday near Lake Fort Phantom Hill.

Bigcountryhomepage.com has received numerous reports from callers who can see the fire from miles away.

Now we're under a tornado watch and the wind's picking up, so I'm going to sign off. Prayers for all, whether they be threatened by fires or storms. Everyone stay safe!!!

Texas Forest Service says devastating wildfire conditions expected

Sixteen fire engines from departments across the state are being stationed throughout West Texas in preparation for potentially-devastating wildfire conditions expected Sunday.
.....................
On Sunday, high impact fire weather that could directly threaten public safety is predicted for much of the state including all areas along and west of the I-35 corridor. Wind speeds are expected to reach 35 to 45 mph with gusts up to 60 mph, which could push wildfires more than 100 yards — or about the length of a football field — in a minute’s time.

I definitely believe that it is too large and widespread to have been intentional fires set..However I do think that someone may take advantage of these wildfires and "add to them" a couple of important areas to them{i.e. that evidence or little Hailey's remains are located at or in}..

Another big concern of mine is this..Even if "they"{those involved in Hailey's disappearance}have zero to do with the fires being set.. Now that there is an all out natural disaster taking place there.. and CCity LE being so very small as it is.. I would say there's a very good chance that "those involved" who would regularly be surveilled 24/7 are NOT BEING SURVEILLED AT THIS TIME..due to the small amount of LE along with catastrophic events occurring as we speak in and around CCity with all of the rapid spreading fires..along with the major fatal car wrecks and pile ups that have happened all in that area within the last few hours.. I just do not see there being a sufficient amount of LE to even tend to and take care of this natural disaster much less tracking POI's..Therefor IMO these involved can be destroying..hiding..re-hiding..moving..etc..etc..remains and/or evidence throughout the chaos of what is presently happening..

I am shaking with chills because I am terrified not only for all the families..their homes and businesses..but also that the fate of Hailey's remains being found are left hanging as we speak..and IMO it certainly seems as tho this could work as huge break for the guilty ones who I'm certain are taking full advantage of this chaotic and traumatic situation..

God I pray for everyone in and around CCity tonight and all the surrounding areas and ppl that are in the path of this destruction..Please keep the workers safe thru the night because with the wind speeds and directions forcasted for thru the night it certainly looks as tho things are going to take avery bad turn for the worse..Please keep them safe

I hope you don't have to choose, thank you so much for checking in!!! Just remember pictures cannot be replaced, and neither can your lives.... Everything else is just stuff.

In so. oregon, during fire season, all of our pictures where put into boxes, even the wall ones, and stayed that way until winter, so we could grab them quick if needed.
