2011.03.02 Cindy Anthony's Testimony

I have a feeling that you are going to be sorry you gave Cindy Anthony any credit for her "cleaned up" behavior at these hearings. These hearings were very tame considering what they are going to be up against when this does go to trial. Cindy showed signs of anger and defiance and even had to be scolded by Judge Perry himself.

**I did notice that Judge Perry was not as nice to Cindy Anthony when scolding her... he was much more sympathetic towards George and even asked him if her wanted to take a minute.**

What was being discussed in these hearings had very little to do with anything but Casey's statements. Casey's lies. It had nothing to do with the actual murder of Caylee... which Cindy still believes Caylee is alive (yeah right!!)... which I do hope is brought up when they claim that it is a huge injustice that they are unable to sit in on the entire trial since they are the next of kin to the "victim." If Caylee is alive and is actually not a murdered child... they are not the "next of kin" to the "victim" in this case... because the "victim" in this case is a murdered child... Caylee Marie Anthony. I think that they really believe that the "next of kin" who is the "victim" in this case is Casey Marie Anthony and they feel they need to be there for her because she is the true victim.

Which makes you wonder... HEY CINDY :seeya:... What makes your daughter, Casey Anthony, so special that the Orange County Sheriffs Office, the Federal Bureau of Investigations, the State Attorneys Office, and the Medical Examiner, would frame her? Out of all the people in Orlando, Florida (over a million) why would they pick a young mother in a middle class neighborhood to frame for murder? With all the undesirable people that live in Orlando, Florida (sex offenders, gang members, drug dealers, etc...) why would they pick Casey Anthony to frame? I'm sure, in your mind, you can convince yourself of a reasonable explanation for this, but to the rest of the world, it makes absolutely no sense!

I do not think that Cindy Anthony has changed one bit. I believe when push comes to shove... Cindy Anthony will show her true colors on that stand when it comes to trial. I've allowed this woman to suck me in time and time again and believe that she would do the right thing... that all ended when DC went out into those woods of Suburban Drive and Cindy lied in her State deposition about it.

Lola, great post in its entirety and especially the parts RBBM above. Thanks button was not enough.

Another thing that irks me. CA refused to give TM anything, (shirt, dress, shoe, toy, stuffy) that belonged to Caylee so he could give it to the dog handlers but she willing sent the child's favorite teddy bear to a psychic (in reality, unknown to her) with no knowledge as to whether the bear would ever be returned. This was done without public knowledge so it's easy to see where the A's were headed with this venture. jmo

No, the money she got off the pictures of her beautiful "missing" child should have been added to the reward money to bring Caylee back home. The fact that she spent that money to pay for a defense and not contribute to the reward money to FIND the baby that could make all this go away, speaks volumes!!

And remember the jailhouse tapes. KC mentioned that the $225,000 reward money was half of her bail. Hint, hint, hint.

Oh yes, and wasn't it in a later jailhouse visit that Cindy stated she didn't have the means to get Casey out of jail and Casey quipped back "you had your chance." Hint... hint! Seems to me that Casey thought that Caylee's reward money should have went towards getting her out of jail.

I remember that and it was obvious the reward money was what ICA was referring to.

I never know what to expect out of Cindy. Usually she comes across as a real bully but other times she is Mrs Milquetoast ~ Consider her interactions we have seen in the jail tapes with Casey. And remember the account the neighbor gave of seeing Casey come out of the house, cursing and calling Cindy names and Cindy just stood there, not even raising her voice. There are too many examples of her bullying for me to list . . .

So I will be eager to see which character she puts on for the jury and how long she will be able to maintain her selected role. Whichever one she chooses, I doubt it will last the entire length of the trial. moo

Yes , because she KNEW that it would never be spent in bringing Caylee home. She KNEW her daughter was deceased. :(

I too am waiting for the real CA to show her arse but I do believe she is intimidated by His Honor, same with GA....once His Honor scolded him, he seemed to straighten up...His Honor can hold them in contempt so they need to watch their p's and q's...I'd like to see them kept out of the courtroom if they continue with their grimaces, head shakings, cud chewing, etc..they show mad disrespect for the courtroom and those who are trying to "kill" their daughter...Same with CA calling LDB, "Linda"....are they good friends that CA can refer to the prosecutor by her first name???

They have no clue that their disruptions will be viewed by a jury and could cause them to "dislike" them and their attitudes. The jury will see them for who they are...and what they are trying to accomplish. The best they can do, is be truthful, tell it like it happened and beg for mercy/leniency when that penalty phase time comes. I'm sure they too believe ICA will be found guilty and then we will be bombarded with, ICA is a martyr, she's innocent but the jurors got it wrong...NOT!

And a whole new chapter begins...:loser:JMHO

Hypocrits....CA doesn't believe in "junk" science but did as you stated above. She sends a teddy of Caylee's to this alleged psychic but wouldn't supply anything of Caylees to TM/TES to try an locate Caylee...I don't think that will go over well with a jury either. Or that TM came to her under false pretenses....she wanted a live Caylee hunt, not a deceased hunt...this is not how a family should act...they should offer up anything they can, anyway they can...TM can't do every request for a missing person and instead of showing gratitude for him even coming to Orlando for Caylee, she should have been more gracious and not behave like an ingrate...like a spoiled child who didn't get their way...Hey, same attitude as ICA...yep, that apple don't fall far from the tree...she's got lots of CA/GA ingrained in her...too bad they didn't teach her integrity, honesty, work ethics, mommy skills, etc..Instead this family taught her that it's okay to lie, steal, cheat and your physical appearce will get you somewhere in life...or maybe LWOP....:maddening:

Poor Caylee did she ever have a chance???? JMHO

But this is them and the jury should see it. The jury needs to see the whole family in action. From the smirks to the grimmaces to the lying on the stand, which is a constant, to KC's reaction to Lee when he says "maybe" to Cindy's reaaction when LDB brings up the fact that KC still tried to lie to Sgt. Hosey even after returning with Acevedo to show Acevedo where the apartment at Sawgrass was.

It would be nice if that could be brought in - the Hosey thing. Cindy just stared at the floor when that was mentioned.

This must be a new form of denial because there is no way, on this planet or any other, that this inforamtion goes unnoticed.

OT: AND I APOLOGIZE

Can anyone give me a site that has George and Cindy's transcripts of their interviews with Melich and Allen (two separate interviews). Use to have them, no longer do and I would really appreciate any help. Thanks.

I think the jury will see plenty of their character when they're on the stand. If they're allowed to sit in on the trial they'll be a real sideshow. Personally I think it's a bad idea.

The judge should keep them out. They are witnesses who are integrally involved in this case and most definitely could be subject to recall at any time. I guess there's nothing stopping them from watching the trial at home in the evening, but I doubt they'll be able to watch in the court hallway. That's something right there.

The judge can simply order that, as primary witnesses, they cannot be present. Nothing personal, just the law.

The A's know they're on thin ice. They had Conway way back asking the judge to let them be present during trial, on a day when nothing like this was being discussed. It seemed WAY premature and odd. And then when you read the motion from their new attorneys it had a defensive quality. It was also pretty lame.

Even though they probably knew their demeanor would be especially noticed in this last hearing they still couldn't keep it together. Both were antagonistic to LDB (in varying degrees), both addressed the judge directly, both were obvious and animated in their seats after they testified. And this was just a motions hearing.

They can't keep it together and they will be an unnecessary distraction from a trial that probably won't have a dull moment. They're not needed.

I don't even think they particularly want to be there for their daughter. Their own interests are paramount IMO. They, especially Cindy with her extreme control issues, need to be included. They want to know what is being said about THEM. They want to have their pictures and reactions splashed on HLN and the evening news. IMO they want to continue making money for a long time after this case is done and they need the exposure.

What would be worse then keeping them out right from the start would be if they are tossed in the middle of the trial for some courtroom hijinks. Then the jury will REALLY be wondering and distracted and maybe even pity them.

Also I'd like to know if the Judge can put a gag order on them, because they are witnesses, outside of the courtroom. I sure wouldn't want them to be "talking heads" throughout the trial across the street at "Camp Casey". Heck, I'm waiting for them to get press passes. Ptooey.

Why would I be sorry? It's just an observation. Though it may not align with popular sentiment, it is only my opinion based on a point in time. Giving CA credit. BAD. Got it. Carry on.

IMO, they should be allowed in the Courtroom whenever they are "allowed" to be there - they are testifying so it limits their time in the courtroom; however, their daughter is on trial for her life and they have every right to be there.

I realize this is a Board for Caylee and I am for Caylee, but the defendant has rights and so does her family and I am 100% for their getting all of them. This is what this country stands for. Just sayin!

As contrary as it seems, when I listen to the FBI interview with CA, she is telling something closer to the truth now then she was then in that interview. Seems her memory may only serve her in regards to what really happened, not the pile of lies she made up as she went along.

She told the FBI that Amy said she worked at Universal....where has that lie gone?
She also told the FBI that GA found 2 pieces of pizza in the trash bag...where has that lie gone?
That KC always had her own money, a couple of times took money from CA-That little fib has since dissipated.
And that she did not go into TL's house to find Caylee because she knew Caylee would not be in a smoky apartment? Bull. So she has not seen "our little girl" for a month, but the force field of cigarette smoke was enough to keep her out? Or, was it really that she was scared of KC or knew Caylee was not there for other reasons?

There is a list of other lies that are even more concrete than those I listed above...
When CA sought out to use nuance after nuance to lie for KC, she must not have realized that she has to remember small nuances later to keep everything straight. Much easier to use the real facts as her foundation and make things up as she goes, just seems to be getting harder for her to do, believably.

I think the problem is they base each other's testimony on what has just been stated which is obvious when CA testified that three officers, Yuri, Allen and Wells told her KC might not be coming back on the 16th. CM immediately walked back to JB and had a conversation in a relatively normal voice about there only being two. When CM returned to ask CA again and she only mentioned two of the officers, Allen and Wells.

If they were truthful and showed a history of being truthful under oath they would be entitled to stay in the courtroom. Unforturnately they still continue to make misstatements on the stand, intentional or not, they are not truthful. If you can't follow the rules you give up your rights to entitlements. jmo

But, but, but..... She has a right to be there and unless she is to testify or the testimony influences her testimony, Perry will let her be there.

We all know she is a liar. It was inconceivable that she kept lying the way she did with LDB in her interview with LDB and the other prosecutors. I think she must have said I respect my daughter 11 million times; meanwhile if you read Amy H's statement and Tony Lazarro's interview, they both tell how she and KC fought and Tony L speaks of Cindy saying "I hope you are rich, because she is going to take you for all you have and leave you high and dry".

All the lies will come out. I want them there to see their faces when they do come out. I agree with you that it is sickening how they lie and lie. But it is going to come out.

I would much rather have Cindy there to see her lies exposed than have her not there so she can continue on in the land of denial.

I read something interesting in Amy H's statement re her checking her checkbook - she mentions that she sends money to "church" and wanted to make sure she had funds in it and so checked her amounts and found it at zero. I read that twice. So Cindy - do you think she is sending money to church in between bouts of scoring heroin.

The lies are incredible. The slandering of the innocent is incredible and I really want to see it come out. If I could move into the courtroom, I WOULD.

Keeping them out may have more to do with KC's rights than with their's if that is what the judge decides to do. Their reactions in court, while we understand them, are inappropriate for a courtroom setting. It will have been almost three years when the trial starts and CA still can't stand to hear that the trunk of the car smelled like a dead body and her reaction is quite animated. The judge just cannot allow this type of a reaction in the courtroom. It's disruptive and will do KC no good in the long run.

Their motives for being there are selfish and have nothing to do with Caylee and they have indicated they will do anything they can to disrupt the courtroom. How many times have they been told no gum? Chomp, chomp, chomp. They do not respect authority. Not good when a judge has to tell you to "be silent" while you are testifying. lol But that is just my opinion. I know what you are saying and under normal circumstances this would be true. But there is no measuring device I am aware of that can measure what could be preceived as "normal" for the A's.
