Is it me? I have never heard about these handcuffs in all the news and depositions from early on in the case. What is the big deal about the handcuffs?

It's part of the defense's attempt to get the statements KC made to law enforcement thrown out to say that she was arrested (or in custody) but not read her Miranda rights.
