OMG!!! I can't stop laughing. Scroll down and read the one about CM and the teachers meeting. This site is great! I love it! :great: Mama Gremlin on meth. Spot on!
Well...I finished the first part and wasn't overly thrilled with his testimony. I'll have to save the next parts for tomorrow.No, just the first bits.....
Be prepared to hear what you weren't expecting.....
Quite a shift since his behavior at Caylee's "memorial" hm.
"I love you. I will not lie for you. Good luck."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I'm glad you said this 'cause it's exactly what I was thinking. The State definitely had something on him...IMHO.
Ya, I agree. But what could it be? Is there anyway to find out do you think?
If there is; WBsleuthers or Kathi Belich could figure out a way to find out. Although, if "it" is sealed? :waitasec: Could this issue have been sealed possibly? I've got myself all confuzzled now. We can presume, I suppose according to what LE has indicated it's not something that he didn't do. I feel like it should not be all that important but for some reason it is to me.
I also agree Lee did well testifying. He told the truth. However, I think his future life with Mallory trumps whatever "it" is he did. He's distanced himself from the other three for quite some time. Also, I've always believed that the wrist kissing business at the memorial service was for Caylee and not the defendant. I feel that his allegiance is to Caylee first and foremost. How refreshing compared to the CA and GA, huh?
I'm unable to get the infamous "high five" out of my head, though. I wonder what the deal was with that, other than it was at the very beginning of all of this. I wonder if I wonder too much![]()
At first I thought is Casey being ADVISED to not show emotion or love towards her family but ignore them or show anger????
Is it part of a plan to destroy George and Lee in order to show she was abused?
Lee was not hostile during his testimony
Casey did not cry this time when Lee took the stand like she did during during the 911 calls hearing in July...
I wonder if he was always with Casey and Caylee at the same time, and just let his parents think he was with Casey over Caylee. It seems like over time, he has moved more and more into Caylee's camp while still loving his sister just not what she did. I wonder if being in this family for so long, Lee has learned how to work the dysfunction, or at least how to work his parents and Casey. I think he let them all believe he on their side for a long time while doing his own thing while they did theirs. I think at some point, he had had enough, and it seems like recently, he's let his parents know just what side he is on. I have the feeling they have had to accept it or otherwise lose him too. He does have that to hang over them - they would not only lose him but future grandchildren because let's face it, unless a guard knocks up Casey, she isn't giving them anymore.
I'm starting to think Lee is a lot smarter than any of us ever gave him credit for. We just lumped him in with the rest of the Anthony family dysfunction, which was far too easy for us to do, especially with some of his actions. But I now wonder if his actions were more for his family's benefit than him actually hating LE and SA for making his sister face consequences. I think Casey crossed a line with him in killing Caylee, and this time, there's no cleaning up her messes and moving on, no letting mom and dad handle it with Lee. I think in court this week, he let Casey know just what side he is on for the first time, and that left her fuming. I think Junkie is right and he better watch it because the gloves are going to come off and he's going to be run under that bus just as much as George is.
Just reading yours and A_News_Junkie's posts - you both put forward some really good points!
So I'd like to piggy back on both of you and say one thing I believe will be really important is that we not stay too much in the place we've been about the assumptions about Lee and his parents. A lot of the "mantras" we have here will more than likely end up being good guesses, but at this juncture, I think it's really important to set aside previous judgments (somewhat) and see what we can deduce from behaviors now we are getting a "bigger" slice of them. Because what we know has come from the media and depositions - still only the "top" slice if that makes any sense at all.
I gotta tell you - I was completely bowled over by Lee's testimony! Yah, he was disheveled, yah, he was twitchy with some odd body gestures, yah, he still smiled inappropriately. But boy, do we have high standards for our heroes don't we? Should have been in shirt and tie, glared at ICA, denounced her in no uncertain terms, stalked by her without a glance, etc, blah blah.:banghead:
I was thinking about what it must have been like growing up with ICA, the master manipulator. Sure, he loves her - she is his sister! But looking back, it seems a whole lot clearer he had her number from way before this murder. I think it took him some time to actually come to the realization she is probably responsible for this killing - I mean whose first reaction is geez, my niece is missing, my sister killed her kid?:waitasec:
Right now, I'll take my heroes any way they chose to appear. Just because JA looks good and apparently smells even better, and Yuri is ....well...:great:
Hey, I wish all of my heroes looked like Yuri, LOL. But I don't think, for me, that I was thinking about this in terms of heroes. Yes, I wished someone in that family would be a hero for Caylee, but I never expected it. Sadly, the way they dress just goes along with all the things wrong about the A family. It's just yet another thing to come down on them for.
These hearings this week were eye opening for me. For the first time, I am seeing each member as distinct individuals instead of as a collective, dysfunctional whole. I'm seeing George and Lee not as yes men for Cindy, but men who learned how to treat and deal with her all of these years. Obviously, George has done his own thing and made his own decisions in this case as has Lee. There was no Cindy making them do what she wanted as I previously thought. I am rethinking the dynamics of this family because at least one member has decided to be an agent for Caylee, and another has revealed himself to be more soulless and selfish than the family matriarch.
It's terribly interesting, this rethinking, especially with Lee this past week. I never thought of any of them as heroes for Caylee, and let's face it, Kronk wasn't exactly anyone's definition of a hero, but a hero he was for Caylee. I have learned that heroes don't always look and act like they are expected to, but that doesn't make them any less heroes. So if Lee shows up looking disheveled during the trial, I won't care about that unless he's not being the hero Caylee needs him to be. I hope he remains an agent of Caylee, even in the mitigation phase.
