2011.03.03 Lee Anthony's Testimony

When Lee decides enough is enough and he, willingly and with forethought disregards any and all legal issues which may or may not be brought against him, actually goes on his own accord to the SAO's office and becomes an AGENT OF CAYLEE MARIE ANTHONY, then and only then will I believe him. Lee may have physically left the A compound (first good decision he's made) but his allegiance is still with CA's agendas.

I still have that dollar left and believe it will stay with me til the end of the trial. Oh, and I wasn't swayed by his testimony.

OMG!!! I can't stop laughing. Scroll down and read the one about CM and the teachers meeting. This site is great! I love it! :great: Mama Gremlin on meth. Spot on!

a bit OT, but Damsel of Doritos about KILLED me, LOL!

No, just the first bits.....

Be prepared to hear what you weren't expecting.....
Well...I finished the first part and wasn't overly thrilled with his testimony. I'll have to save the next parts for tomorrow.
Thanks LG!

Quite a shift since his behavior at Caylee's "memorial" hm.

"I love you. I will not lie for you. Good luck."

I don't know -- I'm starting to wonder if all his coded talk at the memorial was in fact for Caylee. Maybe he'd seen what was going on between kc & cindy, how kc was behaving - made some sort of promise to Caylee. I think he was torn between how the family expected him to be and what he knew needed to be done.

I think it's hilarious JB actually said in court that he never received that vid of GA telling kc to write the letter. Just another one of the many times I wish one of us WSr's (or any other citizen who's seen it) could do a "pssssst . . . . here's a link". Or maybe just tell him to call Kathi . . . :innocent:

I'm glad you said this 'cause it's exactly what I was thinking. The State definitely had something on him...IMHO.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ya, I agree. But what could it be? Is there anyway to find out do you think?
If there is; WBsleuthers or Kathi Belich could figure out a way to find out. Although, if "it" is sealed? :waitasec: Could this issue have been sealed possibly? I've got myself all confuzzled now. We can presume, I suppose according to what LE has indicated it's not something that he didn't do. I feel like it should not be all that important but for some reason it is to me.
I also agree Lee did well testifying. He told the truth. However, I think his future life with Mallory trumps whatever "it" is he did. He's distanced himself from the other three for quite some time. Also, I've always believed that the wrist kissing business at the memorial service was for Caylee and not the defendant. I feel that his allegiance is to Caylee first and foremost. How refreshing compared to the CA and GA, huh?
I'm unable to get the infamous "high five" out of my head, though. I wonder what the deal was with that, other than it was at the very beginning of all of this. I wonder if I wonder too much :)
BBM: I don't know either but could it have been they heard "the check's in the mail". Timing is about right. jmo
At first I thought is Casey being ADVISED to not show emotion or love towards her family but ignore them or show anger????
Is it part of a plan to destroy George and Lee in order to show she was abused?
Lee was not hostile during his testimony
Casey did not cry this time when Lee took the stand like she did during during the 911 calls hearing in July...
I don't think so Intermezzo. The reason is her demeanor changed from 'pleasant' to 'angry' after he admitted he "maybeeeee" lied to her. After that she was fuming.
IMHO, when she first saw him - she had more the 'high five' look on her face. But after the long pregnant pause followed by the maybeeee, I saw her face write him off.
JMHO, etc.....
Oh, and I now think he will be exploited by her with GA for the 'prior abuse' she alleges. Before today, I think she would have told JB to take it easy on her bro. Not now!
I wonder if he was always with Casey and Caylee at the same time, and just let his parents think he was with Casey over Caylee. It seems like over time, he has moved more and more into Caylee's camp while still loving his sister just not what she did. I wonder if being in this family for so long, Lee has learned how to work the dysfunction, or at least how to work his parents and Casey. I think he let them all believe he on their side for a long time while doing his own thing while they did theirs. I think at some point, he had had enough, and it seems like recently, he's let his parents know just what side he is on. I have the feeling they have had to accept it or otherwise lose him too. He does have that to hang over them - they would not only lose him but future grandchildren because let's face it, unless a guard knocks up Casey, she isn't giving them anymore.
I'm starting to think Lee is a lot smarter than any of us ever gave him credit for. We just lumped him in with the rest of the Anthony family dysfunction, which was far too easy for us to do, especially with some of his actions. But I now wonder if his actions were more for his family's benefit than him actually hating LE and SA for making his sister face consequences. I think Casey crossed a line with him in killing Caylee, and this time, there's no cleaning up her messes and moving on, no letting mom and dad handle it with Lee. I think in court this week, he let Casey know just what side he is on for the first time, and that left her fuming. I think Junkie is right and he better watch it because the gloves are going to come off and he's going to be run under that bus just as much as George is.
Just reading yours and A_News_Junkie's posts - you both put forward some really good points!
So I'd like to piggy back on both of you and say one thing I believe will be really important is that we not stay too much in the place we've been about the assumptions about Lee and his parents. A lot of the "mantras" we have here will more than likely end up being good guesses, but at this juncture, I think it's really important to set aside previous judgments (somewhat) and see what we can deduce from behaviors now we are getting a "bigger" slice of them. Because what we know has come from the media and depositions - still only the "top" slice if that makes any sense at all.
I gotta tell you - I was completely bowled over by Lee's testimony! Yah, he was disheveled, yah, he was twitchy with some odd body gestures, yah, he still smiled inappropriately. But boy, do we have high standards for our heroes don't we? Should have been in shirt and tie, glared at ICA, denounced her in no uncertain terms, stalked by her without a glance, etc, blah blah.:banghead:
I was thinking about what it must have been like growing up with ICA, the master manipulator. Sure, he loves her - she is his sister! But looking back, it seems a whole lot clearer he had her number from way before this murder. I think it took him some time to actually come to the realization she is probably responsible for this killing - I mean whose first reaction is geez, my niece is missing, my sister killed her kid?:waitasec:
Right now, I'll take my heroes any way they chose to appear. Just because JA looks good and apparently smells even better, and Yuri is ....well...:great:
Hey, I wish all of my heroes looked like Yuri, LOL. But I don't think, for me, that I was thinking about this in terms of heroes. Yes, I wished someone in that family would be a hero for Caylee, but I never expected it. Sadly, the way they dress just goes along with all the things wrong about the A family. It's just yet another thing to come down on them for.
These hearings this week were eye opening for me. For the first time, I am seeing each member as distinct individuals instead of as a collective, dysfunctional whole. I'm seeing George and Lee not as yes men for Cindy, but men who learned how to treat and deal with her all of these years. Obviously, George has done his own thing and made his own decisions in this case as has Lee. There was no Cindy making them do what she wanted as I previously thought. I am rethinking the dynamics of this family because at least one member has decided to be an agent for Caylee, and another has revealed himself to be more soulless and selfish than the family matriarch.
It's terribly interesting, this rethinking, especially with Lee this past week. I never thought of any of them as heroes for Caylee, and let's face it, Kronk wasn't exactly anyone's definition of a hero, but a hero he was for Caylee. I have learned that heroes don't always look and act like they are expected to, but that doesn't make them any less heroes. So if Lee shows up looking disheveled during the trial, I won't care about that unless he's not being the hero Caylee needs him to be. I hope he remains an agent of Caylee, even in the mitigation phase.
I hope you're right about Lee. I sure would like to believe that. After your post, I sat here thinking about the memorial and Lee's famous "CMA CMA CMA". Now I'm thinking, maybe he didn't make it clear who he was talking about, because maybe, just maybe he really WAS talking about Caylee, and used the CMA as a cover towards his parents, as, maybe they were pushing him to set his allegiance on Casey and he really didn't want to. This way, he got to "mean" who he wanted (ie, Caylee) and not let his parents know that he really wasn't speaking about KC.
You've just said a lot of things I've been trying to say, only a whole lot better. Thank you for this post.
What are those actions?
If we started a thread on LA's mistruths, lies, etc...how long would it be?
Do we know what Lee means when he says he "supports' his sister?
Does he have to hate his sister?
Maybe my biggest problem with Lee is that he did not want to work, 100% of the time, with law enforcement. There is a distrust there. He wanted to sleuth on his own.
Do we assume he would not have told LE if he found out about the murder?
Now that is a question I have hung myself up on-Goes to the whole thing with Dominic...
I know, have known for a while, I'm fighting an uphill battle here trying to "defend" Lee-I put that in quotes because I'm not on a big campaign, I just don't feel as hinky-fied by LA, never have.
Being weird and annoying nervous laughter: Not a crime or a tell-tale sign of an obstructor or an accomplice.
Just seems we really don't have a lot to go on to say that he ranks up there with his parents-But then, if they are the measuring stick...
I have never ranked LA with his parent but however Im not ready to say just from this testimony that he is wanting justice for Caylee either. JMO the real truth will come out during the trial whether LA is wanting justice for his neice. LA can love his sister but still want to see Caylee get the justice she deserves. So far nothing has convinced me so I will hold my judgement until trial.
