2011.04.04 Motion Defendant's: For Withdrawal of Appointed Counsel

I can see CM stating in a brief how very busy he is ....doesn't he have two other important cases going on? And, then touting to the media how very capable JB is, and that he (CM) will be there if needed...ALA Andrea Lyon.

FWIW..What I find most telling is that this motion was submitted BEFORE the end of the Frye Hearings..and since CM hasnt been so involved at this point..I tend to believe he is going to cut his losses..and get out of his deal with Jose....He see's whats happening..and has no stomach for what is actually happening to this DT...JMO of course...

I cant see involved attny's being excused at this point...CM is th only one not so involved.....How telling :floorlaugh:

Sure it's Cheney!
He accused JP of being biased and I think the only reason was to get out of this case altogether this was just his stepping stones to stepping down. Mason knows Casey is guilty and he knows that with her statements coming into trial, she is screwed and his name cannot and will not be attached to it. If this is the case, then I am assuming another death qualified attorney would have to come in and possibly delay the trial.

Jose can't quit, I doubt AF would (too professional), KC doesn't have court appointed counsel, so it has to be CM or DS right?
I thinks it's likely DS.

Whhhhaaaatttt? In the middle of that important questioning she has been doing on behalf of the defense for the Frye hearings???? :floorlaugh:

Oh, haven't you heard? Apparently, he now despises the media! :great: :waitasec:

Well what do you expect? :innocent: He's not going to give free interviews when he can sign up with Geraldo or JaneVM and get paid a nice fee for spouting propaganda, plus there is no one on those shows that will ask him those difficult questions like that pesky Kathi Belich !
:laugh::laugh:

You know, maybe it is actually CM. He has had almost no role to play except to file motions, which have all been denied.

He looks completely bored in the hearings and sometimes I am certain he has nodded off.

He lost his temper at Kathi Belich several days ago and was severely criticized by his peers and the media.

HHJP has been noticeably less jovial with CM and his good ole boy style.

CM was caught by Bill Schaeffer and many others making an obscene gesture at the prosecutors on the last day of the Frye hearings, which again made press and very negative press.

So out of all of them, it appears CM is the one who is NOT having fun.:great:

So maybe the :bigfight: has gone out of him and he has had it :ohdear: with Baez's obvious blunders and need for control when he is obviously out of his depth. It probably isn't CM, but it should be IMO.

He has not made a good impression at all..maybe at one time he was a good attorney, especially after the article came out about HHJP ...we are all beholden to HHJP. I know people skills and if you cannot hear and be heard...how can he relate to a jury.

Not completely true. The only ones who cannot jump ship are the ones who were PAID for their services prior to KC being declared indigent. And so far as we know that only applies to one lawyer in this case.

CM and AF are somewhat restricted as the DP qualified attorneys, one of them has to stay. So it would be a race to the exit. One could bail but not both.

Thinking on it, there is an attached brief in support of the motion? So it may be something a bit more major than some junior associate council, or even a lower tier player like DCS?
I thought DS said that she wasn't available for Wed. hearing (lipread)...so maybe she has important business elsewhere? Can someone remind me why she was on the team in the first place? So many have come and gone...it's hard to keep track.

From what it looks like, i'm surprised that fetching Red Bulls for JB is not also in her job description.

Has CM never been asked about his earlier comments pertaining to Casey's guilt?

If Cm steps down, can't Anne Finnell take over?

Well It appears to me that AF has done far more to preserve the integrety of things than any of the other council all tolled..She was the one who settled down JB when he lost it talking to Judge Perry, She was the one who has always shown true professionalisms...I doubt she would bail...she does have integrity..unlike some others who dont mind bailing when things get tough:crazy:

Just one more thought about the so-called "work purse..." Let CA go ahead and talk about KC's J-O-B. The SA will nail her right to the wall every time she mentions this tall tale. Then, and only then I imagine, will CA stop referring to this garbage on the stand.

Integrity to me would be running as fast as you can...lol JMHO:crazy:

Dorothy was most influenced by her younger brother, who suffers from Down syndrome. She saw how he was treated by strangers, sometimes with pity, sometimes with cruelty, and decided to devote her life to working with the injured and disabled who often had no voice when pitted against people/organizations more powerful than themselves.

I'm not certain about his hearing - he seems to be selective about when he can hear, but yes, I agree with your comment about not making a good impression.

We've seen Bill Schaeffer say any number of times, how well respected Mason is by his peers and the legal community. I wonder if a couple of other "good old boys" took him out for a few one night and said Cheyney - "get out of there while you can - that fruitcake is tarnishing your good rep and you'll never get that smell off of you".

Isn't CM the only 'Court appointed' Attorney she has now? Aren't the others all working Pro Bono?

Can someone get in touch with the media down in Orlando and find out who it is? I would, but gotta go cook dinner. :)
