My $ is on CM or AF.

JB sure does treat Simms like he would treat, oh I don't know a DOG? He showed so much content towards her and I think he is like that with all women if you ask me. He must have a short stature inferiority complex

The ONE dryer sheet with the shoes on the backseat, is in the position where the carseat had been before Cindy removed it.

If CA was the one who put in the dryer sheets---why did she put one under the shoe? Looks like casey put the sheet there and threw the shoes in.

Baez Shushing DCS probably didn't go over too well either..

I find the wording strange. Could the defense team be asking for Jeff Ashton's withdrawal. The brief could be the why they want him de-bunked after last week's hearings. Hopefully way off base hear. Please anybody, tell me I've lost my mind. JMHO.

was sims supposed to be along for the trial? or was she just hired to do the questioning in the frye hearings?
i forget.. how long has she been around?

Checked out the hinky in case they had any information but they are in as much disarray as we are between Simms or CM.:great:

But they are all much more focused on voting for Yuri Melich in the online poll for All Star - so if you haven't seen our brand new voting thread - rush out and have a look and vote! :rocker::rocker::rocker: ps - we can vote once a day!!!

Just another thought, but could it be an attorney working on her civil case? I still hope it is CM, but I'm tryig to think of all of the possibilities.

Just wondering how this would work- if Casey FIRED someone would this motion be the same? Or would it be worded differently.

Can you give your thoughts why JSR? Would love to hear them.

I think CM is getting bored with this case. He looks totally disinterested in the case.

I think AF is just too ethical for this team. I don't think she appreciates making a statement in open court to a sitting Judge and then have her word taken back in a pleading filed by her co-counsel. If for say she learned of anything she felt was unethical going on among this team she would do the appropriate thing and withdraw as counsel. **Note not saying that I know there is or I have a link to such. But we have all discussed what we all believe might be unethical conduct by the defense.

I also think it's either of the two above because whoever decided to withdrawal felt it was necessary to back it up with a memorandum in support. That would lead me to believe it might be one of the two DP qualified attys currently on the DT.

But all of the above is just my :twocents:

I can see arguments for both CM and DS.

CM can't remind us enough how old he is. I'm not sure he has the stamina or even wants to sit in court for months on end. I do not believe this trial will only last two months. Heck, I don't even think it will start in two months. And remember, CM couldn't be bothered to visit Amy in Miami, he wanted her to come to him. He is lazy. His good ol' boy attitude is not working. In fact, he is embarrassing himself. He is not having fun and hates to be questioned by a woman (go Kathi). I can see him quitting.

DS, she seems lost all the time. She has a hard time questioning witnesses and objections are sustained most of the time. She flips through that big notebook as much as Casey does but it doesn't help. She seems like a newbie and has no clue what she's doing. I cringe sometimes when she starts getting really animated, arms flying all over the place, not making any sense. I think she's ready to hit the road. Dr. Vass would have chewed her up and spit her out in 2 minutes flat (in a nice way of course).

AF has too much integrity to quit now. She's in it for the cause, not the fun, cameras, or any other reason aside from being a committed and honest lawyer (so far).

IMO

Baez is stuck along with his 89 large and change in blood money - Baez can't leave.

Mason can leave if Miss Finnell stays, Mason came on board for the hearing she was declared indigent (read no blood money bucks left) - Mason can walk anytime as can Sims or Miss Finnell, but I think ONE Death Penalty lawyer has to stay on the case - or else there will be an issue, maybe trial delayed if both walked or maybe Judge Perry can make one of them stay - not sure on this one, question for AZlawyer :)

Out of all the lawyers the only one that is stuck fast is Baez.

Lyon bailed just in time before the law changed and before the SAO investigation on LB and fake forms.

AF came on for the penalty phase. Even though she was at the hearing, I do not think she will take on the guilt phase, so CM will have to stay. Didn't AF say something about the cost of travel, etc? I do not think she will absorb the expenses of staying in Orlando through the whole trial. I may be wrong, but I think CM is stuck and DS is leaving. JMO

No, they can't. And if I recall they already tried to get the SA office bounced once before on this case.

If I recall it was in the very very beginning.

Whew. Thanks for confirming that for me. My imagination was running wild there for a minute as I know how Baez dislikes Ashton and don't trust him at all.

Thank you so much JSR - okay you swayed me with your logical thinking re the memorandum in support - unless ICA is writing motions/memorandum's now---lol :)

Gotcha, okay, I'm with you, CM or AF. Wow that is a toss up, I can't imagine AF leaving and leaving ICA possibly to die - so I'm thinking it must be Mason.

After reading everyone's well crafted posts, I can't decide which one I think it is . . .

But I'm sure that the other three are jealous. :D

I'm betting HHJP would gladly sign off on a hotel room, cheeseburgers and gas for AF if it meant seeing the backside of CM at this point. :innocent:
