2011.04.04 Motion Defendant's: For Withdrawal of Appointed Counsel

100:1 it's Dorothy Sims.

Any idea why? The Frye hearings haven't concluded yet. The latest media report states this motion is worded different from the others in the past. This time it looks like ICA is asking them to leave.

Well Hornsby's odd are 100-1 for DS - so you might have to trudge over to Blog, blawg, etc. with your virtual $14.00 and one ham sandwich that has been left out on the kitchen counter overnight...:floorlaugh:

Hey! That was 14 cents...not 14 dollars! And it wasn't real. And anyway I ain't paying! You can take me to court. I know a good lawyer! :floorlaugh:

Hasn't Casey been awful chummy with CM lately and almost snubbing JB? Could she may have asked him to leave?

Heeeeyyyy! You aren't the kinda guy who would fudge a bet cause you have the inside scoop from one of your buddies are you? :bigfight: ....:great:

That sounds like the kind of thing I might do.....:floorlaugh:

If it is based on who Casey "wants" to leave... I could be DCS's? Would there be any basis for a re-do for the chloroform/decomposition air samples if Casey did get rid of DCS's?

Me thinks that it is Cheney Mason though. He really is not the type to hold back and I think he may have laid it all out there for Casey to hear. "Look girl... you're going to be found guilty. We need to get a plea deal or this is going to get really bad!" Casey doesn't seem like the type of girl who would take too kindly to someone telling her how HER trial is going to end up! She wants a MISTRIAL!!

I'm sticking with Cheney Mason!

He already has a replacement.
We should have figured this out when we heard about her a week or so ago.
Jennifer Barringer from New York has joined the defense on a consulting basis according to In Session.

Isn't it scary to think of Baez alone at the defense table?

Can I sell the popcorn? :great::floorlaugh:

A hundred to one! If you lose! One hundred X 14cents and I added a dill pickle so never mind your $14.00 dollars - I have to drag a hundred dill pickles over to RH's blog....

As much as he would like it, it will never happen. Baez is not death qualified.

I really don't care who leaves, as long as the trial date stays on point.

I would laugh if Casey FINALLY asked JB to leave now!
Oh and then HHJP rejected her request (due to so close to the start of trial), that would be even funnier!

I just want to know why all the "secrecy." Why don't we know by now??

From what I understand, Judge Perry can deny the request, correct? We are five weeks away from trial!! The suspense is killing me!!

Jose can't quit, but Jose can be fired by Casey. N'est pas?
C'est correct :) I just don't think she's smart enough to fire him. I do believe JB may have encouraged her to fire a DP qualified member of the team though as a trial delay tactic??
My gut says it's DCS. My heart wants it to be AF.
I wonder what they think in the forensic astrology thread?
Please be JB!!!!!!! I have to admit as addicted to the case as I am, I can't watch him play lawyer and did the audio of him only for the Frye hearings. That was painful too. :banghead:

Sweet smell of dismissal in air for Phil Spector's lawyer in hubby-bottle-smash case

Jennifer Lee Barringer, Esq. May 17th, 2009 4:34 pm ET

Jamie:
As a former employee at the Innocence Project, as well as a frequent guest on your show, I want to thank you for commending and commenting on the noble work of Barry Scheck and Peter Neufeld, who have changed the landscape of the law. In an era where many people jump immediately to a presumption of guilt, often fueled by the media, your comment represents a return to a time where we may once again be innocent UNTIL PROVEN guilty. Calling attention to the thousands of actually innocent people, languishing wrongfully behind bars, should remind us all that the American experiment is not yet over and that we must work tirelessly to reaffirm our commitment to the constitional rights of citizens.
All the Best,
Jennifer Barringer

I thought of DS first. Still think it's her but I have several reasons to agree CM is a likely choice as well. Can't say I blame him.

If ICA asked her to leave, HHJP can't deny it, IMO...I'll tell ya'...ICA better be careful who she kicks off the "dreaming team" ain't gonna be no one left standing LOL

That's why I think it is Cheney Mason... he doesn't like the media. He would have no problem keeping something like this from them. Agreed... big whoop if it is DCS's.

Welcome ICA's new consultant, NY ATTY Jennifer Barringer. Aye yi yi. I just don't think I can stomach another ICA image makeover. Back to the business attire and sassy smart glasses?

I don't think Casey likes DCS or AF at all. She has snubbed them both as they were sitting beside her.

I saw the look that Casey gave to AF when she was wanting reports to be let in and promised to get them to the State. She also told the State that she would provide them with the reports that weekend or at least by Monday. Casey seemed to be livid when AF was talking about the reports. AF did say that it was not 'diminished capacity' because the State would have wanted to do depositions if that were the case.

I am betting that that the attorney to withdraw is really AF although I would love for it to be CM.

Wasn't AF appointed for the Guilt Phase? CM was not appointed, and I do not think DCS was either.

AF is my bet.
