Not likely to be JB. His ego keeps on growing, along with his stylish clothing. I really hope that it is CM. He doesn't appear to put out much effort, and he sure doesn't act like the top-notch hot-shot lawyer the DT pressers gave him when he joined. Can't stand his arrogance and lazy sprawl in the courtroom. I agree that it probably is DS who is going bye-bye...too bad, I much prefer her to remain rather than CM.

Didn't hear about all this until the late night news, so I came here thinking for sure our sleuthers had found out but it looks like we all have to wait until morning.

I feel that since it is the defendant filing this rather than an attorney it is probalby JB's idea. Someone on the DT is not meshing with JB and he wants them gone. I could see JB and ICA both wanting rid of anyone on the team that is trying to tell ICA to make a plea deal.

Remember when the judge was asking Baez about these new witnesses and Baez was trying to keep it a mystery, but the judge turned to DS and asked her to speak, while Baez tried to shuss her. It seemed to me that he was mad at DS for spilling the beans to the judge. I think Baez wants her gone.

IMO, that, plus she is a female (already a negative for KC) who KC cannot "dominate" or "out-sex". IOW, AF has a whole other set of priorities than KC does. Look at that middle school mess on video with KC and JB playing around with the camera person, and CM doing his best to "play along" while physically distancing himself. AF would have had none of that sort of childishness.

If KC snubs AF, it's because KC innately understands that AF does not buy into the only currency KC knows, which is flirtation and sexual dominance.

:cow:

YES!! During that middle school mess", DCS came over and spoke to ICA, head down, very quiet and looking very serious. I think Miss Thing was being reproved for carrying on like that, and did not like it one bit, because after a very brief pause, the shenanigans continued. I think it will be DCS who appears to have a modicum of class and probably is FED UP (as are we all...)

Any chance this is just docket "housecleaning"? Read something that implied this motion may be in relation to the original Public Defender assigned to the case...before Baez became retained attorney?

Checked the docket and can't see where that PD ever filed Motion to Withdraw after Baez, Retained filed his first appearance...(as I have seen on other cases)

Was this an oversight and now one was filed on behalf of that PD (who may no longer be with State) in order to "clean up" docket?

Kent, apparently it was found on the "original" case number - the withdrawal by the public defender that is, by a ws'er a few pages back. So theoretically it has already been done.

My money is on Sims. A shame that a person who spent her life's work for the greater good was willing to tarnish her reputation for this case.

The Orlando Sentinel reports that they will go to the O.C. Court House when it opens and read the motion. Maybe we will know by 9:30 A.M.

Oh good grief...He gets a whole $3.oo per hour!:great:

And if he left, he could make more $$$. He already got the big pay check and all he gets now is grief and humiliation - plus he is expected to prepare and work! I think even JB expected some fun. And the media no longer loves him. :seeya:

I think it is DS leaving although who knows - this case is full of surprises.:great:

OMG! and just when I have to go to work!!!!!!!

If it is JB...then we will get a public defender...and a possible plea deal right?

What a way to start a day!! Bye, bye Jose! :woohoo:

I really don't see this making a whit of difference in the case. Jose was not death qualified and the others have been on the case long enough to carry it on. I'm sure AZ will correct me if I'm wrong.
