Wow. Sounds like ICA has finally figured out that this isn't junior high study hall, and her life is on the line. Sounds like she quit doodling long enough to actually listen to what was going on and realized Baez's competency level.

Not unless a reporter managed to get someone to show up early at the courthouse to look in the files.

If the motion is a 'stall tactic' aimed at delaying the trial, there won't be much of one. Cheney Mason has been with this case long enough to pick up the ball and run with it almost without missing a beat.

I think this whole thing was sneakily planned by the DT and it wouldn't surprise me if they involved the inmate from Michigan. The disrespect at the last hearing between attorneys and Casey flipping someone the bird seems to say - "Here - take this all of you who make fun of my boys..... -- we'll get the last laugh yet". JMO

I don't respect the DT one bit, but I do not believe that's true in the least. Curtis Jackson is an inmate who is one card short of a deck, and has injected himself into this case before.

I just cannot believe a handwritten motion would make it officially on the docket. That just seems so weird to me. Any of us could write in and ask for Baez to be taken off as counsel if what he did was true. Something is totally off here...

Well, I didn't think our legal system was into April Fool's jokes. I guess I was wrong. What a mockery of justice that he was allowed to do this. I am so mad right now.

Some media outlets in Orlando reported that Anthony requested the removal of Baez, but Local 6 News has confirmed that the filing was made by a prison inmate in Michigan who has been trying to interject himself into the case for a while.
Curtis Jackson, an inmate at the Baraga Maximum Correctional facility, made the filing.

Same guy who had letters or inside info that he would "exchange" for time off of his very long sentence.

Guess his letter got hung up in the mail, April Fools was last week...
