This is what the DT is going to try and argue to the jury as to why the chloroform was so high and detected in the car.
Triclosan which is used in many products if mixed with other certain chemicals like Chlorine will produce chloroform. Since JB bought out when Cindy was on the stand if she knew what the ingredients were of Fabreeze she stated she did not. My guess is there is an ingredient that when mixed with Triclosan will produce chloroform. This is why they had to have Cindy back on the stand to state she put tons of them all over the car and used the entire bottle of Fabreeze.
Do I buy it? No! How many times have you cleaned your car with Fabreeze? I know I have. I had spilled Gasoline in the back of my Ford Bronco once (on the tailgate) I hosed it down, washed it over and over with laundry soap, mixed bleach in the water too, aired dryed it, and it still stunk. I think sprayed not one bottle but 2 bottles of Fabreeze on the tailgate carpet area. Still stunk, so I put an entire box of dryer sheets in the back...and still stunk. Did I die? NOPE, did I get sick, sleepy, other symptoms? NO therefore the chloroform must not have been high enough. Let me tell you also, that I was inside the truck with all windows closed, because it was raining. Dryer sheets in place and a hint of gas and fabreeze. Jury won't buy it!
