HHJP: This court does not need Morgan to do that. The law has always been you can ask if they would consider anything in the defendants background or character. The state does not allow either side to go into the facts of the case. Or for the penalty phase to get a pre reading of specific factors. Sustained.

When Jeff Ashton made a comment about things in her 'remote past" I said that I bet Cindy's brothers or maybe some of George's relatives are going to be blamed. Now, it may not be them but I would put good money on it that it is.

If they are so convinced that she will be found guilty and so are focused nearly entirely on mitigating sentencing rather than creating doubt she did in fact kill her child, then why go through all this hoolpa? I knew abuse was coming up, I thought they would wait for opening statements though.

Sadly, a lot of us were abused. We may not have turned out the best, but we didn't murder our children, maybe tried to be better parents as best we could.

I think we have heard JB's aha moment. "KC was abused and afraid of her parents so she could not tell them what happend. She was taught to portray false images and poor coping, so therefore her behavior after the accident was abnormal."
