Why is age "clearly applicable"?

I don't see how Casey's age is applicable at ALL. She's an adult. That;s all that should matter.

HHJP: okay lets bring back 1135, juror.

AF: (not near mic) We would move for cause on 1135, he indicated he couldn't even consider age as a mitigating factor. He could not engage in a weighing process and it would be a challenge for cause at this time.

HHJP: after reading him instruction did he say that?

AF: you read him instruction and he still said he could not consider age as a mitigating factor.

JA: he still said he could not consider it.

HHJP: okay, tell him he is excused for cause.

Lets all remember while they are taking forever at sidebar that Mr. Mason physically cannot work into the night. He's very tired, it's been a long week:crazy:

Probably not near as tired as Judge Belvin has been through out this entire fiasco.

I remember him telling in court the other day how he spent 10 days/nights reading until 2AM each night researching and re-researching the motion for the air/gases.

Maybe he should remind Mason of that??

Cancel the crab cakes tonight Mason - I hear they aren't good cold.
Your "pressing" interview will have to wait it looks like.

Juror 1135 - whoops hold up - AF has something to say.

Would move for cause 1135 - can't consider age.
Cannot engage in a weighing circumstance and would be a challenge at this time.
AF - you read him the instruction and he did say he couldn't so why ask him a third time.
Based on that he will be excused for cause. SA agrees.

darn it! he is scratched for cause since he said he couldn't consider age as a mitigating factor.

Wasn't she like 22? Are they going to say that at 22 she doesn't know she shouldn't snuff out her daughters life?
