I don't want her, either.

JB not starting with the awkward question..."who are you?"

  • #743
Big roll of thunder after PJ says she would be able to make it with the way her payroll is set up. JB: "Are you sure?" General laughter in the courtroom.

That was Caylee saying thank you to this juror.

"alleged" victim?

Sorry but the Defendant (no matter who she/he is) is entitled to a presumption of innocence. The Prosecution must prove their case BARD. The Prosecution I am almost certain bear the burden of showing that a crime was committed since I don't understand the Defence to have conceded this.

Therefore, for the purposes of court proceedings at least, this remains an "alleged murder" at the current time.

I respectfully disagree. Caylee is not an 'alleged' victim. She's definitely a victim since she was found duct taped and put in trash bags. A crime definitely was comminted. The only thing alleged is who did it. (No question in my mind, however.)

IMO

He might as well have said, "I really, really don't want you on this jury. Give me a "cause" reason so I won't have to use one of my peremptory strikes!" :D

Yeah! Pretty bad.

Had the bad stuff earlier here, now just rain. Had wind gust up to 57MPH reported. Lots of wind damage around town and it isn't clear yet.

Just looked at their radar. Bad storms in their area, and also here in Eastern Ky.

is he off topic it here? or is this just a element of general voir dire we haven't seen?

Oh sit down JB

Yet again, AF may as well say, "Yes, we know she is guilty, but there are good reasons!"

I agree. The general message from the defense by spending so much AF time with each juror is that she's guilty. It's a subliminal message IMO. They are trying too hard, IMO - like a kid trying to convince a parent that it's a good idea to do (insert bad idea here).

IIRC, that cannot be used as conclusive proof in a criminal trial of that matter.

It holds a lot of weight. Dr. G is also very credible and doesn't have a dog in this fight.
We can agree to disagree.I've seen enough of the discovery to make up my mind.
Not the media stuff,the discovery.

I think she is trying to be very analytical, and very fair. I would love to see her on the jury.

This PT is taking a bit longer than the others IMO its because she is very smart and is giving very good answers. The DT I believe will in the end strike her.

I know I started it about the "alleged" victim because of what the state stated, however, let's put a halt to it now and perhaps discuss it in sidebar thread or one of the other threads. Thanks
