I think the state had him wrong. They assumed he was a college kid who would find KC 'pretty,' I think. I don't want to outright say my opinion of him, because that would be wrong to do. However, from listening to him talk, I can honestly say I am 100% certain KC would not be his type.

Perhaps - but I trust the SA's.

Remember - we can only HEAR the PJ - they are actually WATCHING him also. Did he keep looking over at ICA - with interest or with disdain? Did he have a disingenuous look about him when he answered? Were there perhaps other Tweets unrelated to LE issues, that may not be relevant to the trial, but caused enough concern for the State that they decided against him?

Also - if the DT wanted him - maybe the SA could discern the reasons WHY they wanted him and decided losing him was preferable?

I'm not sure about the reason for striking the last juror. But clearly the state didn't like something and the defense did. HHJP seemed to disagree with the state. I;m on the fence but if they have a chance to use their peremptories later as "back strikes" once everyone who has made it through questioning has, then I'm thinking they may have jumped the gun again. There could be jurors who are much worse for the state. I hope they are not acting impulsively.

I think their gut instincts to strike him were correct. He is close to Casey's age, has no kids, attends her 'alma mater', would not be upset by her party pix, and does not have a lot of respect for LE. Imo,he could be a wild card holdout on the jury. And he is pretty direct and forceful, seems like some one who might try and lead others in a rebellion. I think they made a wise decision.
