I was born in Ohio, but I was raised in the South and I hate grits! Yuck! Yuck! Yuck!

Wow! I . . . .am . . . . . speechless . . . . .

Um .... can we say "Overshare"? ETA: I think the word "pasties" means a whole different thing to you than what it does to me. Pasties are what strippers wear over their "girl parts" so as not to be completely naked. (but what do I know?)

uh, wenwe - a pastie is also a small batter crusted pie filled usually with a savory filling of meat and other things...[ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pastie"]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pastie[/ame]

I see I've been beaten to the punch - lol

Remember how Cindy stormed out of the courthouse after a gag order was discussed?? Cindy told everyone that SHE would not abide with it.

Yep, course she wouldn't Cindy thinks that she and the rest of her family are above the law and the courts.

I'm thinking when this is all over the website Cindy will set up to "Free Casey dot com", Cindy will never shut up.

Yes, until 1:15 I think.

I also think that the long break is to call the 11 jurors and ask them not to come in today. There will be more viore dire, Judge arranged to have the Pinellas (sp?) Courtroom through Saturday, and may be reviewing more caselaw.

BBM: I must be hungry... I swear I read coleslaw. LOL

Dang, all this talk of grits really makes me want some. And there's a Walmart next door to where I work...they are so FATTENING though! LOL. Grits...or chocolate pie in the staff fridge? I am doomed!

Grits aren't fattening. It's what you put on the grits that makes them fattening. Just like salad!

Exactly. I would think it is a very dangerous game and if they run out of strikes could end up with a juror who thinks she's guilty but could put it aside. Something defense does not want. Or a female juror could have a 2 year old.

HHJP stated they have already gone thru 200 and still don't have 12 and are in danger of starting all over again which would mean a delay of the trial. As of June 16th we will be starting year four since the death of Caylee. They could question the whole state and still not find one person who is clueless or find one but they would believe because she was arrested she must be guilty. It has to stop at some point. You'll never find the perfect juror, ever. jmo

Imo, HHJP is bending over backwards to be fair and make sure ICA has a fair trial. The DT started playing that little childish game yesterday, almost 12 gonna strike to keep at 11. Now, they are up (enter name of creek here) creek without a paddle.

Mmmm...cornwall pasties, I always make sure to get my fill when I'm across. Man, those things are good. Steak and onion is my fav....

Ooooh! Cornish peeps here? :seeya:. I can make some mean pasties from scratch and do, at least 2x a month. Family is across the pond in Cornwall. Come on over-anytime:rocker:

To keep on topic of food, I just ate cheese and crackers with a chaser of Ice tea.

OT: I just ran to Marshall's when they opened, after hearing about the lunch break and the store manager was giving a pep talk to the staff and his voice was EXACTLY like the judge's voice :)

A longtime lurker and Floridian who feels your frustration. :banghead: I feel sick at the thought of this getting delayed.

I've followed this case from day 31, and found this wonderful site a few months after. I'm constantly amazed at the dedication, professionalism and intelligence offered from the posters here. You folks are really first class!

Welcome Florida Native, I'm a native, too! We are an endangered species

Somebody run out at copywrite it before she can.:floorlaugh:

Ode to Grits ... we were raised on them. Our kids were raised on them. All grandkids first meals were served with grits. Not that nasty instant stuff either. They see a Waffle House and we stop for grits and sausage biscuits. Yummy with butter and unrefined natural sugar.

I immediately got what HHJP said and giggled. The man not only knows law, but great food as well.

I did not like the drama this morning and pray no more today other than the look on ICA and JB's face when the 12 jurors are sworn in.

I'm thinking somebody needs to post a huge buffett picture....as hungry as we all seem to be today! Must be all that hard court work we've been doing this week. Hardly had time to eat. It has caught up with us today!

ETA: and not Jimmy Buffett either

Had to rush out at the break to walk my very patient pups this morning. Of course walking and deep in thought this morning about the SA's checkmate. Walked by a sweet racy looking little black sports car and saw a sign hanging from the mirror.

It said..." Get In, Sit Down, Shut Up and Hang On"! Now if the Defense is reading here...... :skip: :skip: :skip:
