So it looks like we have mostly older women and some older men, some younger men (correct me if I'm wrong) in general on the jury - rather ironic since Casey showed no respect to her own family, which includes her father, her brother, her mother, her grandparents...talk about karma coming back on her with this jury makeup!

KC seems rather upset today, did she realize that there IS going to be a trial, now that they have 12 jurors? Or, is she upset because of JB and a possible new baby? Or, is she missing her cell phone? She's been tearing up off and on all morning so far....wonder what's going on... a dose of REALITY, maybe? Finally??? Just wonderin.... hmmmm

Yes, but...the family DID prosecute; they held her responsible. Besides, it wasn't murder.

I could be very wrong but my understanding is that it is always the state that decides whether or not to prosecute ~ not the victim. If the state felt there was enough evidence they would move to prosecute and convict with little regard to the family's desires. Does anyone else here have the same understanding? Or am I waaaaay out there again? :waitasec:

He heard of the case via St. Pete Times, People magazine. He knows a child was found deceased. Alot of what what he read, was related to the mother. He believes there was something about a smell, and the trunk of a car.

I don't see the big deal about waiting to get through the PJs but maybe I'm missing something (that isn't unusual... LOL).

I think what he meant is if both sides want to start fresh with more there are some called for other cases in the courthouse today... and they do not report on fridays.. so if they want more to pick from they need to decide by lunch whether they want any of these new folks presently in the courthouse...

((they of course will have to do reading of the indictment, hardship, etc))

Then, during that part of the picking of jurors we will see the crying maching again during the reading of the indictment?

in OK, ( esp w/ the domestic a&b type cases) state WILL pick up charges and prosecute...even if the victim does not want to file charges! ...FL i dont know if it works that way down there too, or not.

I was thinking the same. I wonder if they are borrowed, and if so from whom. If not borrowed, I wonder who is buying and paying for he clothes. moo

Read somewhere it is the defense team purchasing her clothes (that means the taxpayers of Florida).
