He has formed an opinion of guilt based on what he has read, which has not been much.

Ah the teachers' lounge. I suspect it wasn't the first time Casey was talked about in there...

Most opinions he has heard are that she is guilty.

He has formed an opinion of GUILTY!

3016: Has a facebook account but did not do anything on facebook about the case. Has heard about the case before. St Pete times and People magazine, heard about a missing child that was later found deceased and much of the evidence that was printed was about the mother. Trunk of her car and the smell. Hasn't watched any news accounts about the case in the last 6 months. Gets news from local channels 13 and 9, only in the mornings and if flipping back from sportscenter. Has Directtv so 9 is not correct. Does not watch Nancy Grace or Geraldo. Is a teacher so in the teacher lounge has talked about what is current but can't recall anything about this case or this trial. In the past someone has voiced their opinions about this case ~ guilty. Has formed an opinion of guilt himself based on what he has read.

His colleagues think ICA is guilty
He has formed an opinion of guilty....bye bye

Darn it! He thinks she is guilty... hopefully he can set aside his previous opinions and still be a juror?

I could be very wrong but my understanding is that it is always the state that decides whether or not to prosecute ~ not the victim. If the state felt there was enough evidence they would move to prosecute and convict with little regard to the family's desires. Does anyone else here have the same understanding? Or am I waaaaay out there again? :waitasec:

Yep youre right nothing to do with the family .. And remember this was a grand jury indictment.

Thinks she is guilty but can set aside his opinion or prior impression
