I'm not even sure it would take that long - friend of the kids has a felony conviction (drugs-theft) and she can still vote etc.(we we're just talking about this too). She's just a bit older than ICA and her convictions were probably 7 or 8 years ago. I know there is a legal process to restore the rights...

Having one's records "expunged".

I think all felons lose the right to vote or own firearms.

Different here in canada. Even current inmates can vote...

I'm fascinated watching ICA and the Fryer woman. What could one possibly chat all day with ICA about?? Looks like 2 bff's just enjoying girl talk. Favorite recipe's, favorite bars, kids, movies, music, prison food, jail accommodations, death by lethal injection......

They are extremely disrespectful in court, and to HHJBP!

Personally, I recommend the mulch pile method of doing laundry. Make a huge pile in the middle of the floor and let it mulch for 3 months or so. Walla done...

Do convicted people in Florida lose the right to vote?

I live in Orlando. If you are convicted of a felony, yes you lose your right to vote. After you have completed all of your sentencing (jail time, fines, classes and/or probation) you can apply to have your rights restored. You also can't have been in any other trouble since you were convicted.

O/T So my dog likes to sit on the back of the couch behind me while I am on the computer. Her little tiny butt is right next to my ear. She keeps "playing little jazz sounds" from her hind end. I jump every time and start laughing. I am going to throw her out side now.

Nope, looks that way for me too.

I have managed to do laundry today, but my bathroom needs to be cleaned. Black cat and gray tabby that like to lay around the toilet in warm weather does not a clean bathroom make. I bet if I collected that hair I could make a sweater for the cold weather.

I dunno about the felon/not a felon thing. I don't think it's hinky, but out of curosity I'd like to know the details.

I'm going to work my butt off all week end, Monday you will have to pry me away from Opening Statements.

I get that in bed at night, but my dog is 60 lbs so it's not so pleasant and definitely wakes you up!! phew!!!! I love her anyway and just open a window and get out the air freshener!!
