Which doesn't make any sense actually. If DUI is an issue, why are these people eligible for jury duty to begin with? I don't get it.

Only way you're not eligible for jury duty here is being a convicted felon. However, that's not always the case. We have a friend who is (convicted felon) he got summoned to jury duty - told the baliff that he was - they did nothing and he served his jury duty!!!! So go figgger :waitasec:

TOTALLY OTTTTTTTTTTTTTT>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>:great: :great: :great:

Congrats WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! On your promotion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :rocker:

Aaawww thank you. I don't think it was O/T. I was curious because this guy is HS teacher and wonder if the DS was HS age.

Interesting that CM just said "11 angry men" are out there......

THat is IMO a tell that demonstrates his chauvinistic beliefs. couple that with his comment about meeting his wife (his secretary at the time) before sexual harassment!

I have to wonder at times if CM uses chew? With the way he speaks as if he has marbles in his mouth...

I'm deaf in one ear and I have a lot of trouble understanding him sometimes, he sounds so muffled.

OT: Don't we have a juror with a hearing problem or was he excused? I wonder if he is still there if he'll have trouble when CM is up asking questions?

wow, the court room is full

They are saying in twitter that about 20 people just came in and the courtroom is filling up. I think everyone is expecting the jury to be sworn today

I can only hope that happens.

LOL - I keep thinking HHJP is getting ready to make an inappropriate comment about a PJ when he says Juror #... is an odd.......

  • #447
Loves murder mysteries......he's gonna be gone........

yeah, I don't understand that at all, most everything is a mystery in one way or another imo

CM really gives me the creeps

The defense wanted those folks on the jury.

I guess my point is 'if they are eligible to serve on a jury' and are not convicted felons, why is that even an issue? It wouldn't be any different than anyone receiving a ticket for speeding, jaywalking, etc. It was a violation of the law and they paid their dues.......so how does that affect how they may vote on a jury?

What significance does reading any of these books have on one's ability to be a juror? Does he really think people can't distinguish fact from fiction? Or he is showing off his own reading skills?

I bet Casey is one of those people that hates to read. And she probably hates people that like to read since they tend to have a larger vocabulary and can speak and present themselves better. Add reading murder mysteries on top of that, and there's the fear of a Miss Marple or Sherlock Holmes being on the jury! The DT and Casey can't have that!

I dont have a problem with him sharing what he learns with his student's. Sounds like a great teacher.
