Interesting that CM just said "11 angry men" are out there......

THat is IMO a tell that demonstrates his chauvinistic beliefs. couple that with his comment about meeting his wife (his secretary at the time) before sexial harassment!

I feel ya SOTS - but I think this was just CM going for a hamfisted allusion to "12 Angry Men" -

I wonder if the posters at wftv are remaining seated .....oops guess not.

They are saying in twitter that about 20 people just came in and the courtroom is filling up. I think everyone is expecting the jury to be sworn today

I can only hope that happens.
I noticed that when the camera panned the gallery. The courtroom looks almost full - funny that it has been so empty the past few days.

I would love to see a pic of the outside to see the media scrum. Remember that pic real early on - looking down Hopespring with so many up-links you couldn't count? I've looked and looked for that pic and can't find it.

Only way you're not eligible for jury duty here is being a convicted felon. However, that's not always the case. We have a friend who is (convicted felon) he got summoned to jury duty - told the baliff that he was - they did nothing and he served his jury duty!!!! So go figgger :waitasec:

Aaawww thank you. I don't think it was O/T. I was curious because this guy is HS teacher and wonder if the DS was HS age.

:floorlaugh: My post was OTTTTTTTTTT, not yours!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh, and this one is too, dang!

They must've been reading here . . . kc sure seems to be keeping her hands in front of her mouth today . . .

wow full house today.

I noticed yesterday there were more than there had been. And again may I say as I follow this on thread alone, it is kewl to read posts that give opposite opinions one after another. Different strokes for different folks.

Funny that the PJ mentioned Cincinnati, since I was thinking he sounds an awful lot like Les Nesman (any WKRP fans out there?).
Yeah- as a matter of fact, I actually had the opportunity to watch WKRP film live in the studio a couple of times, as a teenager. Lots of fun!

The stinky squirrel strikes at midnight! :giggle:

OMG, that would make an AWESOME book title!!!! I love it! Or a secret phrase to a club, LOL!

Couple of the authors are attorneys.

Umm...:waitasec: ...just realized CM might not know Michael Connelly writes murder mysteries...

  • #477
so we just need 3 more ?

Who is sitting next to ICA? The woman with the dark hair.

Lizabeth Fryer, the attorney who just passed the bar 4/15/2011

I dont have a problem with him sharing what he learns with his student's. Sounds like a great teacher.

I would have expected nothing less from him - to say otherwise would have been disingenuous...

JURY TO BE SWORN AT 3PM FRIDAY 20 MAY
1340: first guy up that took forever (7 y/o daughter)
1398: crisis counselor
1019: computer guy with nurse wife
1055: nursing student with the rat terrier
1319: older AA lady had a challenge by state that was denied
1429: long grey haired lady that had a dui
1025: chef with 2 young kids
1007: giggly lady defense challenge denied
3308: ret. coast guard guy was going to take gma to the bball game
3015: kidney transplant lady who works for verizon
3185: "favorite uncle" semi retired guy never married no kids
3310: older single verizon guy
3016: PE teacher with 2 labs
3140: "fun job" lady with one cat
3093: surgical tech lady, weaver of yarn with 2 sons in 20s
3281: info systems granny with yorkie
3170: government teacher with tenure

So the guy they just had, won't be a foreman candidate. He's 5th alternate right now, with 4 strikes total before swearing in. So, at best he'd be Alternate #1. Of course both sides receive extra strikes based on the number of alternates HHJP chooses, so, who knows where that guy ends up. I agree with PP's, though, he'd be an interesting juror, for sure.
