"We did our first vote and it came out half to acquit, half to convict," says the juror. "And we talked about it for a while, going through the evidence. I'd say that some people got intense, but there were no personal attacks, no real yelling. And we talked for a while, then it was 11-1 to acquit. And the guy who didn't want to acquit basically looked at us and said, 'O.K., whatever you all want.' He knew he wasn't going to convince us."

RBM: WTH ? There HAD to be some "strong-arming" while deliberating ... MOO ...

I mean really -- "WHATEVER YOU ALL WANT" ? WHY OH WHY DIDN'T THIS JUROR STAND UP FOR WHAT HE BELIEVED IN ?

Keep Talking, Jurors ... eventually we WILL know WHAT REALLY HAPPENED during deliberations !

MOO MOO MOO ...

When I read the article, this part stood out and slapped me right in the face. The more the jurors talk, the worse they sound. :banghead:

:floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

What else can I say. They pushed me over the edge.

I think at this point in time that the jurors should not talk anymore.

After 90 witnesses and 33 days of testimony in the courtroom, the jurors began to deliberate.
Nearly two months later, would the juror change his vote? "I've learned a lot more about the case by reading the documents," he says.
I know people are mad at us, but we did our jobs, and I think we did them to the very best of our abilities.

"I've learned a lot more about the case by reading the documents"
"90 witnesses and 33 days of testimony" and a lot of "stuff" from the prosecutors...there probably was a lot to read. Could a jury read all of that evidence in one day? Could a Jury read all of that evidence and eat two meals and have bathroom breaks for twelve people and have smoke breaks in one day?

I keep waiting for the comment from one of these jurors that makes sense.
I am very curious about the person that was supposed to take the cruise. Was it rescheduled? Was it cancelled? Did they run out of the courthouse and make the cruise?

More from the article and I can"t believe what I just read.

"And then we sat there for a few minutes and were like, 'Holy crap, we are letting her go free,' " he continues. "Everyone was just stunned at what we were about to do. [One of the women jurors] asked me, 'Are you okay with this?' and I said, 'Hell, no. But what else can we do? We promised to follow the law

Talk about mind numbing stupidity!

:maddening::sick: OMG ... just un-freaking-believable ! :sick::maddening:

RBM: "Follow the law" ? How about "following the EVIDENCE" ?

OMG ... these "jurors" would NOT have even made it down the "Yellow Brick Road" ... and that's TOO BAD because they needed those "brains" MORE than the "Scarecrow" needed brains ...

MOO MOO MOO ...

This is just plain awful
This just makes me feel worse. I get the sense that these folks just didn't understand squat. So what is he saying...they spent an hour reviewing the evidence?
I just can't read this stuff. It gets me too upset.

I'm glad you mentioned brains 'cause this response just doesn't sound all that "intellectual". I realize I don't know this person from Adam, but what a pi$$ poor explanation.

One of the funniest comments I've ever read about the jurors.

The song from the WoOz If he only had a brain.

I don't understand how the votes went from 2 guilty of first degree murder, to 6-6 guilty on manslaughter, to 1 holdout. It seems to me there were some jurors who were "in charge" and browbeat the others. The last holdout really disappoints me with his "whatever you all want" comment. Why couldn't anybody stand their ground? If I was on the jury, we would still be in that room.

I wish more than I could ever say that I felt as you - that there was strong arming....I just dont see it....I truly feel there was one or two strong personalities that the other sheep followed, but not because they were forced....but because they ALL really, truly, seriously were that stupid.

These people apparently had no idea what was expected of them. How can someone be "stunned" at their own decision? At someone else's, yes.
I wish I'd been in there (can't of course, not a citizen of your fine country) ... one of two things would have happened:
b. they'd have come to my conclusion, or
b. we'd still be sitting there

I wasn't gonna read it, but I had to, kinda like you have to look at an accident on the side of the road.

next up: aggravated manslaughter.

Five words from that juror that changed everything. It's ironic... they were so willing to acquit because they wanted to do what they were supposed to as a jury, but these five words prove that this juror did exactly what a juror is NOT supposed to do.

Now excuse me while I :bath: and :anguish:.

On a brighter note (I am an ETERNAL optimist), I truly believe there will be poetic justice served, for KC and Caylee. KC will get herself into trouble that will erase any regrets we have over this particular verdict. We'll end up saying, "Aha. THAT'S what karma was holding out for."

the comments from people mag are even worse. everyone is saying how the jury followed the law. hmmm i don't see how "ok whatever u want i guess i'll aquit too" is following the law.

losing my faith in karma....hope u are right.

Everyone was stunned at what they were about to do. Everyone That should of told them what they were about to do was absolutely flipping wrong. One day if Ms. Anthony re-offends these jurors are going to carry a boat load of guilt.

am i the only one stunned that these comments dont warrant investigation of misconduct? how the heck does one person say gee i'll go with the herd. i cant convince them. thats what hung jurys are for!!!!!!!!!! that guy (i think it was #2)should have stuck to his beliefs and not just gave in. WTH?????

I was watching a clip about the babysitter who put a toddler in a stroller in the back of a pickup truck. The babysitter said noone gets a handbook saying what child neglect is...the anchor asked where this happened and the reporter said...it's over in Pinellas County. And I said out loud "of course it was!!!!"
