Does anyone know what happened w/the Detective that was talking to the Juror after the outburst in Court? I probably missed it, I haven't read the entire thread, I've been in and out all day.

Judge Perry was so angry and disgusted, it's hard to imagine he let that slide w/everything else he had to deal with.

I don't know if anyone has noticed, but there is an officer that is in the court room (I've seen him a couple of times) who has on a different uniform that the court deputies. He wears an all-black uniform... looks like a police uniform. I think that is who the woman was talking about when she said "detective". I think she meant "police detective." I'm sure he was just asking the potential juror if she was ok, or maybe asking her if she had heard anything.

And why didn't they go out and look for the dude and hold him in contempt?? I'm still not satisfied that it was not Jose's private investigator. That guy is a piece of work.

Amil there have been far, far too many odd coincidences through out jury selection. We all know how very badly this DT wanted a continuance, and most of all to strike this entire jury pool! They did not want this jury picked from Pinellas!!! The rage on ICA's face yesterday was absolutely evident and I took a perverse satisfaction with it....tehehehehe

Wow. I am a real idiot! No wonder I thought I was taking the day off Monday to watch the trail. And now it starts Tuesday and I will miss opening statements. I am bummed!

Too bad he didn't question her about what they were talking about but I think he was just done; beyond livid. He did a good job of recovering after he threw the pen. I've thrown a few pens, kicked a few walls myself.

No problem - :skip: go to the main Websleuths.com/forums page, scroll down to the bottom of the page and you will see the listing "Private Forums" then look at the second listing .....you will see the "The Parking Lot" - click there and when it comes up you will find the Basement Party as a thread - have fun!

From what I understand, she can change her plea from innocent to guilty at any time during the trial. But I've been known to be.....ahem...wr..rrr..mistaken so why not slide over and ask in the legal thread - you may get an accurate answer faster now it is the weekend. :great:

Since we have some time between now and Tuesday, some of you may be interested in watching the documentary, "Murder on a Sunday Morning". It can be found free online as well as on Netflex, etc. It's an extraordinary documentary in and of itself, but it also features Ann Finell when she worked in the Public Defenders Office in Jacksonville in 2000/2001.

I did a "shout out" for "Murder on a Sunday Morning" yesterday, too. It's really fascinating and one of my favorites. I have nothing but great respect for Ann Finnell.

Has anyone ever seen an interview Ms. Finnell has given regarding this case? I can't think of even one. Even the day she and DCS were introduced (at JB's office, in front of that tacky Baez plastic shield, remember?) she was conspicuously absent.
(That was also the morning K Belish reminded CM about remarks he has made regarding ICA's guilt BEFORE he joined the defense team and he claimed never to have made any such remarks. HA!)
