I think she looks more mad than scared. She looks like she is mad she is having to go through this. I'm waiting for her to roll those eyes.

HHJP: okay mr. baez. as a portion having to do with the defendant having the right to innocence, do you want that read aloud? Okay, lets bring them in.

All rise for the jury.

HHJP: State and defense recognize the jury? I hope you had a safe trip. Did you heed?

yes

HHJP: not to discuss this case with anyone, or engage in internet searches? Thank you. You have been selected to sit on the Casey case. First degree murder...false info to LE. It is your responsibility to see if the state has proved their case beyond a reasonable doubt. It is the judge's responsibility to explain the laws. It is your responsibility to apply the facts. The jury and the court do not overlap. It will be helpful if you understand how a trial is conducted. Attys make opening statement. What evidence they believe will be presented at trial. Statements are not evidence. Experts will be cross examined. Docs can be presented as evidence. Final arguments, you then retire to consider the case. Until that time you should not discuss the case among yourselves. We will take recesses, you can take care of some things. Do not discuss the case or let any say anything. Tell that individual that you are on the jury ask them to stop. If they will not tell deputy. Only on the evidence should your decisions be made. Jurors cannot conduct any investigation of their own. No cell, electronic devise to gain info in this case. This applies whether in the court house or at home. Must not visit places re: the trial or the internet. Jurors must not have discussions of any sort with friends or family in the case or people and places involved. Do not let closest of family members ask you about this case. With electronic media you must not talk about this case, nor face to face, do not send or accept messages about this case. No posting info on the internet.

In every preceeding, the defendant has the right to remain silent. It is not her duty to prove her innocence. Jury cannot draw an inference of guilt. The attys are trained in trial proceedure. Objections must not be speculated on. If you would like to take notes you may do so, on the other hand you are not required to take notes. You will be provided with a note pad and pen, any you take are for your personal use. Deputy will take possession of your notes and give them back. After deliberation, they will be destroyed. No one will ever read your notes. Do not let notes distract you. Only an aid to your memory. Notes are not better than each jurors memory.

HJBP: Does the state care to make an opening statement at this time

It could be that she is thinking..."What a waste...a huge waste! All they wan't is justice for Caylee. All I wan't is Tony's phone number!"
