Day 30 Tues July 15th 2008. Over the weekend George and Cindy were doing yardwork and noticed a letter was at the door. On July 15 George gets the letter and it is from Johnson's. Casey had exclusive possession of the Pontiac, it is titled in George and Cindy's name. When it was towed the company eventually sent a letter to the registered owners George and Cindy. Come get it and bring cash. So George and Cindy drive to Johnson's wrecker and while Cindy deals with the people at the front desk George goes with Simon Brich to retrieve the car. Along the way George is telling Mr. Brich about the problems of not seeing his daughter or grandaughter for days. As they approach and overwhelming smell is emenating from it and it was coming from the trunk. George said a prayer, don't let that be my granddaughter. Mr. Brich has done this for years and has seen and heard everything that can be in a car including a suicide that had been in the car for days. Simon Birch will give you his opinion, and as that is going thru his mind and George is hearing the statments he is hoping they are not going to find a body in the trunk. When the trunk is opened there is a bag of garbage inside. Simon Birch took that garbage and placed it in a dumpster. George drove it home. When Cindy had her first contact with the car her words to George were: Jesus what died? At which point her husband told her it was garbage. So george and Cindy go back to hopespring obviously frustratited that this car in not in Jacksonville where she said she was with Caylee. And it had been at the tow yard since june 30, so they knew she was lying. George had to be at work at three that afternoon. They put the car in the garage to air out, Cindy goes back to work and communicates about the smell to co workers eventually they convince her to call the police. Cindy texts Casey there is a major prob and needs to contact her. In the meantime, Casey is happily in Amy's car because days earlier Amy had gone to Puerto Rico and now Casey has her car. That afternoon Casey makes another app for a tattoo tells guy at place she is going to bring Caylee in, seen at back of America cashing a check. On the way to airport Casey speaks to erica gonzalez and gives the impression that Caylee is in the car with her. When she picks up Amy she tells her she got a call from Caylee that afternoon on her cell phone. Amy drops Casey off at TL. Amy goes to Fl mall. Cindy is at home trying to figure out a way to get in touch with Casey and so she goes through items that were left in the car. Caylee's car seat was in the car, Casey's shoes, clothes, dryer sheets in the car.
There are items in a bin in the trunk, a bag that Cindy thought Casey used for work and in that bag is contact info for Amy. Who Cindy never met.
