I think his cocky attitude is a cover. Young guys do that when they are feeling insecure. He's humiliated that he was living with a crazy girl who may have killed her child and he knew nothing about it. He's trying to distance himself. Why would he want anyone to think he was in love with someone this disturbed? This probably bothers him a lot more than he wants people to know.

I think so too! I think he's nervous, not used to being on live TV, not used to testifying in court, not used to having to face an old Friend with benefits who happens to be on trial for murdering a child he has met. That's a LOT for a young guy to deal with. I don't find him cocky. I think he's trying to keep himself under control and not make himself look foolish to all of the world via camera.

Tony's posture indicates he is totally forthcoming.

Leaning in.

I feel sorry for him. I think that his prior cockiness was a defense mechanism. I think that everything is coming back to him now and he doesn't feel very good at all about spending the day after Caylee died in bed with Caylee's mother all day.

Chewing on his jaw now and much more serious.

I think it's unfair to say Tony liked the media crowd coming in, etc. He hasn't done anything wrong. He didn't kill Caylee. He didn't sell his story. He hasn't been actively seeking the media, even though he is trying to break into the entertainment business on some level. In fact, he says he changed his number because of harassment.

I also think it's unfair to say he is cocky. For all we know, he is embarrassed and angry about being forced into this position, having people constantly ask, know his name, etc when he's trying to work, study, and build a life for himself. Maybe his "flip" answers are just years of pent up resentment coming out, since he was thrust into the limelight.

I think he is doing as well as he possibly can, and we need to remember that he is a witness, not a suspect. I feel bad for him!

Just my two cents.

Poor kid - just wanted to have a little fun in college and be a dj dude for a while

Exactly. He seems like he was a normal 20-something. Probably didn't think he'd be living in Florida all that long. He also had no idea he would end up being involved in testifying in a murder trial.
