that is simply not true
the defense, nor the state, cannot ask "whatever they want"
and they cannot imply facts not in evidence

in no way

He's probably being allowed to ask it because at this point in the trial it has not been proven how she died. I agree with you that him adding 'when she drowned' insinuates a fact but the jury is instructed to regard witness testimony as evidence, not attorneys.

Agreed 0 the SA really has to ignore that theory all together and keep on focus with the evidence trail they have. The evidence will prove out this theory is nonsense later on when they start talking about cell phone pings.

If you look at the cell phone/computer log reports, there is not a single time span that shows up that Caylee could have drowned or that either GA or ICA could have covered it up.

The SA will completely blow this theory out of the water - patience is not my best virtue, so I understand the concerns. I'm screaming at my laptop monitor the whole time JB is asking this .....I could never sit through one of these in court. I'd land in jail for contempt.

I agree the SA needs to stay the course and ignore the drowning stuff. They already got GA the one witness other then ICA to the "inccident" to admit it never happened. That and the DT never pressed GA about it.

The SA needs to start asking if the witness was present when ICA drugged Caylee with chloroform and wrapped duct tape around her face.
I disagree. It will be obvious why the State is asking, and seem petty to the jurors.

If I'm reposting, sorry....
http://www.wesh.com/casey-anthony-extended-coverage/28018643/video.html

Baez arriving at court, yelling and cursing the reporters when one trips on his rolling suitcase ...reporters being pushed and threatened with legal action. The sense of superiority these <mod snip> (Casey's attorneys) have is staggering.

OMG! Thanks for posting that! I have no words for their behaviour! Well, I do, but out of respect for Caylee, I won't say them. :innocent:

Can't they use other evidence to show the date of the hot body contest?

JMO--about ICA's appearance today. My first impression is that they (DT) are trying to make her look like a made-over Eliza Doolittle merged with Mary Poppins.

I'll say this, if my dad came running at me, with my accidently drown daughter, yells at me..youre going to jail for neglence, let me hide her for you and takes her body away. I would have ran not walked to the police. That's the worst story told to date (imo)

sa needs to re object (I strenuously object!) to the JB drowning question. no way that can be tolerated or allowed.

whats wrong with hhjp?

Talk about tainting jury.

Hi Laddsy :seeya: .... isn't she though? It's a shocker!

I just don't know how they are going to wriggle out of this. We have had 3 witnesses now and they have been grilled by the prosecutors, but had 5 or 6 questions by the defense. Its a shoe in. This girl will get the death penalty because of a weak defense. I could do a better job ffs

and I want to watch when she is put to her death! sorry if that offends anyone

The DT is saying SA cant prove cause of death. Well now they can...ICA says drowning...SA can now say INTENTIONAL drowning.

Im not sure that drowning is the cause of death....but it sure fits better to ICAs behavior, then accidental drowning.

I have a question.

If Baez knew all along that Caylee was dead, wouldn't he be required to tell someone of authority that the child was no longer living?

Could he really as an officer of the court continue holding that information back even during the time when they were still searching for her body? :waitasec:

I am not saying he would have to tell the who what when and where either.

Smoke break.

I interpreted George's head being down when he was asked that question as a sign of total disgust, disgust that his daughter would stab him in the back. What I saw on his face was sadness.

So do we think Clint House is coming up next or Tony?

  • #679
Ugh I'm so annoyed by the mere presence of JB. Even watching him over at the SA table his cockiness is nauseating.

I just said, that she looks straight out of Walnut Grove.
