Yes. If the wound bleeds alot, don't really need an entire body to produce the smell of decomp

i was a medic in the armed forces.

yeah, it does.

and your right, unmistakeable.

TYVM both of you....in that case.... where is the little icon that pukes, that is a really, really, bad smell and no one ever would mistake it for pizza. or anything else. ever.

Okay suspicious like, Simon Birch had something to do with Caylee's death? Or the disposal of her body?

I am tired of this merry go round so you will have to excuse my upset at the defense tactics. Blame whoever is on the stand. If Simon would have called the police Jose would find something suspicious in that...

there is only one suspicious person in that court room and that is Casey "the shopper" Anthony. IMHO.

I am tired of innocent people being blamed for ANYTHING. Especially Caylee who at this point has been blamed for her own death.

ITA ---- Stated quite well!!!

Yesterday when Baez was questionin TL, baez refered to his deposition with TL on 2/11. Did Baez mean the year 2011? If so, why would he wait almost 3 years before taking a deposition from an important witness?

Yes ...he meant 2011.....good question...some would say perhaps lazy....???

I am wondering where she left the body prior to placing Caylee in the car. How often did the Anthony's use their freezer in the garage? How big is it? Chest freezer or stand up? Could she have place Caylee in the bottom of the chest freezer in a trash bag and placed food items back ontop? We know she often stole food.

I know we used to have a chest freezer and I HATED it because I would NEVER dig to the bottom to get something.

We have a chest freezer too and rarely get to the bottom. Just found some perfectly good meat that was freezer burned because we forgot we had it. Didn't Tony say she had bags with frozen food items with her when he picked her up from Amscot?

LE took the freezer from their garage right? I wonder if the dogs alerted in the garage and we just don't know about it yet. The Anthony's are going to be beside themselves if it comes to light that she put that baby in the freezer.

Isn't it a chest freezer? I've always wondered too if she was bagged at the bottom of the freezer, but would ICA be smart enough to do that to halt decomp? I think more than likely she was placed in a few different spots before ending up on Suburban. With the dogs hitting on the playhouse, I wonder if poor little Caylee spent the night out there before ICA put her in the trunk the first time. This is all so disgusting & incredibly sad.

I always thought she was buried in the sandpit the day she was murdered and washed off in the pool on the 17th. If she were frozen for any length of time and then thawed in the trunk, there would be much more fluid than normal due to cell rupture from the freezing. Maybe she kept her in the trunk for a day or two and when she thawed out there was a lot of fluid leaking out of the bag. The smell would have started not long after that...just a theory

Cindy and George hadn't seen Caylee since June 16th. I think the police knocking on their door questioning them about the smell of a dead body in Casey's car might have allowed investigators to add 2 + 2 and get 4.

The sad thing is that the end result would be the exact same.

If she had actually been a missing child, I agree those two weeks might have been the difference between an alive and a dead Caylee.

BUT baby girl was already dead. Figuring it out two weeks sooner wouldn't have changed anything.

I'm not wondering about it, here is a very busy man (who didn't even tow the car) going about his normal business. He has seen everything from a corpse to remains from a car accident, old food etc. He has seen them many times, he smelled decomp from the interior of the car and he checked there was no overt reason for it. This was not exactly odd in his profession for evil smells to emanate from towed cars...
While this is all true, Mr Birch didn't pick this car up from an accident, or knew that it once held human remains due to suicide, accident, etc. All he knew about the Sunfire is that he smelled human decomp, couldn't see anything and the trunk was locked. Yes, I'm sure he's a busy man, but I would think it only took a few minutes to alert the police to the smell of human decomp coming from the car.

Mr Birch smelled human decomp. He couldn't see human remains when he looked inside. The trunk was locked. Like I said, he seems like an intelligent man - it's a small logical leap.

His testimony was powerful. He's great for the State, but I'm just curious why he didn't call the police. I'm sure it's a small matter and will not break the State's case or his testimony, but I hope LDB asks him about it after the break.

Snowball made a good point that maybe he did alert the police. We'll find out after lunch, I hope.

KC was an adult and as such she could take her child and leave any time she chose to. GA and CA had no legal hold on either one of them. Without any cause to call, the police would have told them the same.

Who is suggesting Birch had anything to do with Caylee's death or disposal of her body?

Just getting here today. Logic tells me that with Simon Birch on the witness stand, we'll likely see George as the next witness in regards to retrieving the car from the impound yard. Then Cindy and then Lee. That will take up the rest of today and tomorrow's half-day session.

Oh wait! I'm loosing all my buddies, they are now "authority" figures..........rut roh.

*goes to the corner to shut up now. dang it!

My thoughts exactly! Drats, the walls are moving in closer!!!:innocent:

HEYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY.

Congrats to our new Mod, NURSIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:fireworks: :fireworks: :fireworks:

You know - I thought I'd missed the announcement and was too embarrassed to mention it:crazy::crazy:
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

Is Mr. Birch's failure to act responsibly after smelling decomp being brought into question? Or, is it his testimony that's being questioned since he didn't call the police?

If it's that he should have called the police and is negligent for that I would have to remember that he's not on trial. If it's his testimony that's in question then that will be put to rest when GA is called back and corroborates his story.

Anybody think its ironic that they go on and on needing this and that to impeach witnesses....YET they represent the biggest offender of lies????????????????:maddening:

Today when JB started up with the mistrial because the state is making our client look guilty whine, I wanted to throw a brick at my computer. This a mere 4 days after he completely trashed GA and RK's character with impunity. I'm reviled. Is that even a word?

For the record, I don't think Mr Birch had a thing to do with Caylee's death, or the removal of her body from the trunk.
