Did anyone else see ICA interacting with the jury this morning?? When HHJP was telling the jury about getting to watch the hockey game. HHJP asked, "does anyone want to watch hockey, tonite"? ICA got a big grin and started nodding, yes! Eyes big! Even mouthed that she wants to watch, too. Something was asked about basketball and she wrinkled her nose and shook her head, no. She was looking right at the jury. Was one of them interacting back with her?? That worries me.

I'm way behind in this thread so others have probably already commented on this. I wonder if she was trying to connect with one or more in particular (the men maybe?) or just the whole panel in general. From all the testimony, she is a big flirt and will do whatever to make herself look like whatever the other person wants at the time. She became an instant hockey fan for a moment then. To me that proves the State's point and I sure do hope the jurors see it that way. I've caught her watching the jury often during testimony trying to judge how they are perceiving things. It was very evident during the Johnson Wrecker testimony. I think she honestly thinks she can flirt her way out of this whole thing.

Any idea when they are going to bring up the tattoo??? I want that evidence in!!!!!!!

I think it will be answered after lunch.
I understood him as saying that it was a minimal smell ..and if he had the paperwork in front of him at the time, which is what I understood, then he noticed how long the car sat at the Amscott before they picked it up. If the smell was minimal at that time, after a few days had pasted, I'm almost certain that just looking in the car discounted the minimal smell to him at the time, especially given the days that the car was unoccupied.
ITA!
He said as much in his interview.

The smell was minimal. It wasn't until they opened the car that the full decomp smell hit him.

Just getting here today. Logic tells me that with Simon Birch on the witness stand, we'll likely see George as the next witness in regards to retrieving the car from the impound yard. Then Cindy and then Lee. That will take up the rest of today and tomorrow's half-day session.

Leila you will love listening to Simon Birch - elegantly clear and concise - he's back after lunch and I'm so looking forward to Baez's cross - yuk yuk - mincement coming up with no birch in it....:innocent:

So, it was George and Roy Kronk and Simon Birch AND Yuri Melich and the FBI and...Caylee...

but remember it WAS NOT Casey.

I thought somewhere on a thread we had a discussion about the possibility of the freezer being used for "storage" (sorry.) Didn't somebody chime in about how you could tell if a body had been frozen after death by looking at something in the bones? Like it changed the way the cells in the bones would look? And Caylee's autopsy didn't show those things?

Wish I could remeber better....maybe someone else did. I just thought that had been discussed and possibly ruled out (by someone much smarter than me!)

So I fell asleep during the showing of all those videos (they bored me). And I understand SB is currently on the stand. But, did I miss anyone between the videos and SB?

Isn't it a chest freezer? I've always wondered too if she was bagged at the bottom of the freezer, but would ICA be smart enough to do that to halt decomp? I think more than likely she was placed in a few different spots before ending up on Suburban. With the dogs hitting on the playhouse, I wonder if poor little Caylee spent the night out there before ICA put her in the trunk the first time. This is all so disgusting & incredibly sad.

It's my opinion Casey is incredibly LAZY. The Anthony's seem very diligent about cleaning and yard work, I can't see Casey leaving her in the playhouse for fear George would be out weed whipping around the playhouse, hosing down or watering something, tending to the pool. Wasn't she seen TWICE backing into that garage?

Wherever she hid Caylee before placing her in the trunk was convient, a safe place and close by. What would the purpose of moving her around be if she was safely hidden somewhere? IMO She HAD to move her from where she was, and I am thinking no way would she do that unless she really had to. She couldn't keep her in that freezer forever. imo

notifying police of the smell of death is hardly "tampering". and might be considered the right thing to do, regardless of ANY other considerations, such as 1. company policy 2. stolen or not stolen, or 3. anything else.

Hubby is LE. Even if the tow yard called, officers would not be able to open the car w/o a warrant or permission from the owner. The tow company already sent notification to LE & the registered owners, there was nothing more for them to legally do. Also, tow peeps are very used to foul smells and cars of horrific crimes in their tow yards. That was hubby's 2 cents. :twocents:

I want it in too! Maybe the state is waiting to ask GA & CA about theirs, then through in ICA's "beautiful life" after she murdered precious Caylee. That may be more effective... showing the grieving grandparents and the Cest le Vie (i can't say mother here) inmate!

Yes ...he meant 2011.....good question...some would say perhaps lazy....???

nah - tactical. He was waiting for memory to fade and details to get fuzzy to have a chance of impeaching him (CM was also an architect of that...) IMHO

Is Mr. Birch's failure to act responsibly after smelling decomp being brought into question? Or, is it his testimony that's being questioned since he didn't call the police?

If it's that he should have called the police and is negligent for that I would have to remember that he's not on trial. If it's his testimony that's in question then that will be put to rest when GA is called back and corroborates his story.

I have no question as to whether his testimony is reliable and I don't think that he failed to act responsibly. I just wonder, as a general wonder out there floating in the universe why he didn't call the police when he smelled dead body. For me, his statements before trial and his statements now during trial are believable and are backed up by giggling Lee discussing the smell and the text messages from KC. I am just curious and think the jurors may be thinking the same thing. Especially since they don't know yet about the text messages and haven't heard from Lee on the matter.

That serves well to answer my question and makes perfect sense.

Today when JB started up with the mistrial because the state is making our client look guilty whine, I wanted to throw a brick at my computer. This a mere 4 days after he completely trashed GA and RK's character with impunity. I'm reviled. Is that even a word?

I think we may need to keep track of how many calls for a mistrial. This will not be the last.:loser:

No Chiquita, it WAS Casey. But there is nothing wrong with discussing what shoulda been/what was, etc. And also pointing out where there might be trouble ahead. No one is blaming those you mentioned.

KC was an adult and as such she could take her child and leave any time she chose to. GA and CA had no legal hold on either one of them. Without any cause to call, the police would have told them the same.

Who said anyone had a legal hold on anyone? I just think the police knowing the smell in the car at the tow yard would've been helpful info when they got the news that the Anthony's hadn't seen their Caylee and were getting the run around from Casey as to the whereabouts of her and Caylee.

You know, something I did not give a thought to while we were watching all those videos this morning, because I was watching "the shopper", flinching at the cheque passing, and thinking about Amy and the cheque fraud charges, the beer and the boys and the pushup bras - I forgot all about how it must be for the Anthony's to be watching these last 15 days before CA caught up with ICA.

Wasn't she telling them she was here, there, in Jackonsville, in Tampa or somewhere with Zanny in the accident, Jeff Hopkins mother getting married, and so on and so on, - no wonder they were flipping out big time when they arrived at the tow lot! And how much was CA flinching when she was watching the ease with which her daughter was buying all that stuff, including the white sunglasses we know so well....

Wowsers, watching one cool gal just out there having fun and where was Caylee?
