Doesn't matter, he's still getting his point across. You can't unring a bell. GA should have never driven that car home.
George needs to just spit out the truth, the WHOLE truth, and nothing but the truth.
Ducking now...
:truce:
IMO
I hear where you are coming from, but and I can only speculate here of the following reasons (not in the order of importance and off the top of my head here! ;-)) :
They were worried about the financial cost of the car in the car lot.
Cindy had had some contact with ICA over that month, so at least they knew ICA was about. Perhaps, he genuinely believed that ICA was angry with the family and spiteful enough to prevent them from seeing Caylee.
If they got the car back home ICA would effectively be without a car so it might force her to return home.
Not all people are suspicious as us!
Perhaps he just tried to put the smell out of his mind, tell himself that it was the rubbish. People try to avoid facing the truth.
IMO it could be a combination of the above factors.
But personally, faced with that situation I would have probably rung LE.
ETA: And of course: Perhaps he thought ICA had been invovled in some way and wanted to see her first or protect her so that's why he didn't ring.
