I also tend to wonder how long ICA has been lying and stealing. It couldn't have just started after Caylee was born and she started making up fake jobs...There had to be incidents prior to Caylee where she started doing this kind of thing but CA acts like it was totally normal to believe everything KC told her down to the fake friends and literally baking cakes for them...who grows up to be a lying weirdo? Usually liars and thiefs have done so for some time...I dunno, the whole dynamic of KC's life prior to Caylee intrigues me especially when it all spiraled down and when. And it's not like there's ever going to be a good book about her life like there was for say, Ted Bundy...because you can't get a straight answer from her parents.

I think it's possible there may be a good book about her life someday...we shall see~

And there we must part ways soulsister. She was removed within minutes because the officer who did indeed perform that act was informed that there was not enough reason to do so. I feel that should bolster teh SA's case even further that she was NOT in custody. She is placed in handcuffs and placed in the back of a police car and then almost immediately removed as there is NO PROBABLE cause to arrest her.

Any person I know would take that to mean "I am not under arrest. They got nothin on me" And the fact that she continued to spin her lies well after that and continued to speak to LE well after that fact, giving statements, signing them, tells me she knew full well she was not in custody.

Let us not forget, her father was LE. This girl KNEW her rights more than any regular young adult off the street would.

moo and with love. your other observations I find are very in line with my own on this case.

Ah...then we do not part ways, Soul Sister. I wasn't aware that it was only minutes, and that the officer was informed that was a no no. Thanks...that eases my mind tremendously.

Although, I fear JB could still use that to imply coercion. But at least the state has something to smack that down with. Or at the very least, minimize it.

Ya know, Caylee may have very well drowned on the 16th of June, however IF she did I suspect Casey and only Casey was at home with Caylee at the time Caylee drowned. And the incident was either deliberate or either Casey left her unattended in the pool.. JMHO

I am feeling a little better about this case. I just watched Dr. Drew (partially - couldn't stomach Linda Kenny Baden) and he ACTUALLY seems to have doubt about the defense theory now. That first day of opening statements, I was literally sick at my stomach that he was touting how ICA was molested, and her behavior was typical of an abuse victim. Tonight, however, he was talking narcissistic personally and sociopath....

However, he is so confused because there has not been any "real" evidence presented. I just keep laughing to myself and saying "just wait for the forensics, baby. Just you wait."

i think... the PT team.. constantly POUNDING the liar aspect into the juries mind over and over and over.... will serve them if and when ICA would take the stand... they jury would be so convinced that ICA is INCAPABLE of telling ANY truth... that they will NOT.. totally NOT believe anything from her mouth...imo....

and.. imo...being an abuse sruvivor and having removed me and my children from abusive situations that mimicked mine or would lead to them... to PROTECT not only them, but MYSELF from having to live it again... I LEFT... i didnt GO TO IT!!!!!! ididnt look for it!!! cant anyone see it??? you DONT continue the abuse/ what caused the trauma, if it has or had been so traumatic as this DT is trying to make people..the jury, think... you do the OPPOSITE and keep away from it... ICA was the farthest from that kind of normal behavior with the kind of abuse she is alleging... imo

I thought the same thing when Dr Drew did that the first day! Thank goodness he is starting to see the light. I was concerned about him...lol.

Simple. Because neither side sees any benefit to soliciting the fact that Lee deliberately tanked KC's hard drive. The SA wants Lee's valuable testimony on other matter, so is willing to quietly overlook LA's early aid to his sister since it would go to impeach the more relevant items he gives testimony on. Whereas while the defense would love to impeach Lee's credibility, there is no way even JB is stupid enough to ask too many questions about that laptop. Because once it is publicly revealed that it was Lee that repartitioned the drive in an attempt to delete everything, the next question becomes why? Just speculation, but personally I have $20 that says the answer to that question is not one that the defense particularly wants anyone to say. Because invariably it comes down to "KC told me to".
JMO But it I think the computer got blue screened as fast as it did because of what there was on there about Casey the bad pictures and ??? perhaps hints of what she might have been doing with all of her time ( and I'm hoping not Caylee's)Because LE was very quick to tell George about the hundreds of bad photos no father would want to see or something to that effect. Not sure if she told Lee about that, and what to do, when she knew she was going down. He knew what was on there would be trouble for her.

There is no way that anyone can connect the bottle or the syringe to this. It was in the vicinity , but there is no proof either was involved. It is a non starter, imo.

Unless it was dusted for prints and there was a match, I agree with you. Highly doubtful the state could get it in.

Maybe they were able to tie in the serial number on the gatorade bottle?

The end of this article discussing the lab report echoes your response here:

Lab Analyzes Syringe Found Near Caylee

Without any evidence tying Casey Anthony to the steroid mixture, Gatorade bottle or syringe, the contents of the World of Disney bag and its proximity to Caylee may be of no evidentiary value to either the state or the defense.

LOL yep! She was.

Was there a guy in Clif she wanted to go see I seem to remember a guy in California!

Yeay! Mark Hawkins! I think he was in the Navy or Marines.

Thank you, that really changes the way I was thinking about it... I wonder if KC was taking testosterone to keep up her strength to, um, take pictures. :waitasec:

I think it will be made clear by the SA that they weren't looking for a dead body at that point. jmo

Sure, you are exactly right. I think so too. I am just getting nervous about any implication the DT is making that LE didn't do a thorough job or that they were intent on framing poor ICA from that start or whatever. The idea of that makes my blood pressure shoot up!

Hugs,
Rosie

Thinking outloud here- when the defense was questioning LE today they kept emphasizing the fact that LE had their uniforms on (duh) when they went to the house for the first time. At first I though he was alluding to the fact that they were "scary" to Casey and she was frightened. Now I wonder if they are alluding to GA (as a formal police officer be obviously wore a uniform) and that it brought back bad memories to Casey and thus she was too scared to tell the truth? Am I overthinking this?
Also it hurts now to quote words, lol.

I heard them bring up Eric Baker today, but did they ever bring up a Jesus Ortiz? I read about him being a possibility of the father of Caylee also.

Welp - I'll jump off from here - if you can grab it (my copy is on my hard drive, but I will try to source it) there's all of CA, GA and Shirley's bank statements out there with arresting scans of all the checks ICA wrote on those accounts - as well as all of the electronic online transfers to cover her cell phone bill (which of course was paid for by universal....) Stunning, evidence to her deviousness IMHO.

A couple of notes, awhile back a great many of you noted Caylee becoming more verbal - since day 31 all I have been able to say is "spot on."

Some bits and pieces - and I am afraid after 2 new computers and a couple virus episodes, I cannot lay hands on the tapes. Somewhere back there, there is text message from ICA that refers to Caylee sticking her thumb to her chest and saying "I'm a boss...." (ha ha), there's another showing ICA talking about Zanny holding her down and shaking a very very violent finger at ICA telling her (zanny to ICA) " I'm going to teach you a lesson..." IMHO ICA recreated a known scenario - and making herself the victim.

So a verbal Caylee, a little "boss" back talk, and a "lesson" - how would ICA react? Well, IMHO, that's aggravated child abuse, and that, THAT is MURDER 1.

and now I have to go and catch up again!

I beg to differ. Chloroform is a rare and unusual substance. Looky looky here. It comes up in the trunk, and in a bottle with a syringe close to where the remains are found. Given its absolute scarcity today, I find that to be far too coincidental for it NOT to be related.

moo

ETA - Bleach + acetone + ice doesn't sound too complicated. If it is, bleach + acetone in a syringe still sounds quite deadly to me.

Has any WSer seen these pictures GA was referencing?

Yeay! Mark Hawkins! I think he was in the Navy or Marines.

One of the latest doc dumps revealed that MH wore a wire to the house to visit with ICA when he came into town (when she was out on bail). It was a big fat ZERO I am sad to say.

yeah, any theorizing I am engaging involves an absence of syringe and bottle for just that reason. Vicinity and no identifiable prints to me say too tenuous. There is plenty of circumstantial evidence that is much more compelling imo so that particular find I am not attached to one way or the other.
