I am currently watching CM cross examine in real time I believe, nothing I saw from earlier today. An African American officer in a regular suit, and it is CM crossing.

CM cross examining him - immediately asks why he is not in uniform - he is watch commander now but wanted to dress in suit

CM is clumsy in his cross examination and to some extent his oratory.

My guess, having seen her in action as well as her (not/) charming husband, is motivated by money and attention. MO. She's a piece of work.

ITA and there is plenty of money and attention to be had (book deals, notch on the belt for defending a big case, publicity, etc.)
but I really do wonder if the ones that left did so because they couldn't work with JB and/or they just didn't want to be part of the big lies presented by the DT.

He is trying to make it appear that there is something wrong because he is not in uniform.

It is not unusual for a department to allow an officer to either wear their uniform or a suit. This is just play acting on Mason's part.
