If trial by ambush is not allowed, then how is it that JB keeps trying to side swipe like this? Bringing up stuff that was never shared with the SA, etc...?

I don't know..
But in the Nilton Diaz murder trial Baez did a trial by ambush move..it backfired..in the end his client ended up being convicted of,iirc, manslaughter and sent to prison...Mr Diaz filed a complaint for defective counsel and one of the reasons for the filing was that he was found guilty because Baez did not share discovery with the Prosecution

Yuri made about 36 posts and all innocuous, the defense team have got nothing, nothing.

I think he is trying to show that he used bad judgement in posting at all, no matter the content.
I remember reading that thread and thinking it probably wasn't the best idea for him.

I think this is a bit desperate from Baez. It's kind of absurd to hear him question Melich's credibility when the jury has just heard his client spout tons and tons of lies piled on top of other lies.

What does Yuri Melich's credibility have to do with his testimony that basically consisted of the prosecutor publishing CASEY's written statement full of lies and CASEY's audio recorded statement full of lies? He can't change them even if he's the most biased person in the world. And he wasn't asked anything about the house etc. so why does JB go into the not checking the pool stuff?

I think Casey would be a pretty happy defendant at the moment if her biggest credibility problem was 36 posts on the internet.

Since JB can't mention anything else about it, they might think his cheese has slid completely off his cracker. I wonder if he wishes he could take it back.

My point is that simply by distracting them with 'Dick Tracy Orlando', it lessened the impact of the tapes they just listened to.

I think as time goes on JB is realizing that getting a jury to believe his client was involved in a cover up with her father is going to be very hard to prove. So I think he is doing he darnedest to try to get a mistrial.
