I am unsure what the grounds of the objection were. I am thinking relevancy but he could have been using it to lay a foundation.

I also think that Dr. Lee's name could harm the defense. Believe me, the last person I would want to be associated with my case is the "guy who got OJ off".

Well, he can't testify to everything the state may have done or the defense or who else was involved. He can only testify to what he knows. JB is trying to get in some reasonable doubt through the back door.

BTW, Bill Schaeffer thinks this is the best JB has ever done at cross thus far. he thinks he made some inroads.

He does that when he gets thwarted so he tries to pretend he will be able to prove a point with it later. He's saving face. It's annoying.

Don't you mean TRYING to save face? :waitasec:

:giggle:

I missed it??? What was the last question?

  • #1,224
One wesh poster guesses juror 11 could be the foreperson...FWIW

  • #1,225
.@HeadlessGal...@jimlichtenstein may have a better idea how the foreperson is chosen, but 11 stands out as a possible leader.

JB should know that bananas, Henry Lee and crates of oranges are all inadmissable. I think he runs in circles with his questions so he can sneak back to an idea and try another way to split hairs.
Animal hair? WTH? How can JB get away with this method of questioning?

Is it that common for the defense attorney to be reprimanded and to seem to "misbehave" so much? I haven't watched that many full trials, I was pretty young when I watched the OJ trial and don't remember much.

It is interesting how everyone says "you will never forget the smell" of human decomp. I imagine that it is not completely different than the smell of any rotting animal. Our DNA is not that different from other animals, like pigs, for example.

However, our noses are able to differentiate because it is us, it is our own, human biology that we recognize. And I think the reason that we never forget it is because we recognize the smell as being one of our own species that has died and that, subconsciously, has a much greater, psychic (pertaining to the human soul and mind) impact, than smelling a dead dog would have.

Agreed,

The reason people do not forget the smell, ever, is because though normally our olfactory senses are not that great, when it comes to blood and human decomp, we can scent this in something like 3-5 parts per trillion. For us normal cleaning will not remove the smell, indeed once decomp fluids have soaked into flooring or furnishings, ALL will have to be replaced because we will always detect it, even years later.

With blood if you cut yourself the blood reacts to the skin surface and a metallic smell is given off, it may smell very distinct to us but we are scenting it at 5ppt.

Oh no...Bloise destroyed notes! JB saying they once contained something about animal hairs.

JB scores.

I don't think JB will get his mistrial.

Is there a strategy behind HHJP not striking the question but rather telling the jury to disregard it?

To be fair, it's not as though JB could be much worse than he has done previously.

Some of us don't know...why H. Lee can't be mentioned...

Hearsay, and H. Lee is not going to be a witness to my knowledge. I can't say for sure, and Baez is trying to subtly thrown in other evidence not related to the current person testifying. Lee has a recognizable name to many people.

ICA looks like she is falling asleep

Is D. Simms there? I haven't seen her leaning in to chit chat with ICA today

Yeah DCS is next to her. I can see the red of her jacket in the Casey Cam.

LMAO, ok. I mis-heard in a backwards way I guess. That is still sort of strange nonetheless.

So funny, Broderick, I heard "Strawberry" too! I thought Bloise had a strawberry birthmark on his face. Seriously, I had no idea what Baez was talking about. But then again.....
