I don't think the jury is following Jose and any point he is trying to make. He is letting Vass answer with a lot of narrative and at this point Dr. Vass has more credibility with the jury imo.

:floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

In reference to the smell of human decomp being similar to a decomposing potato

"Yes but we actually looked at the chemical composition of a decomposing potato and they are different" with a sly smile.

I do remember a time that I went to my moms and asked what died and it was rotting potatoes..:seeya:

Dr. Vass................."You're twisting things around a tad" :)

  • #1,166
How many minutes will JA need for re-direct to bring this back to earth?

  • #1,167
"Again, I think you're twisting things around, again", says Dr. Vass.

Yup. I would LOVE to hear of his other hobbies.

I know folks who use electrical impulse to send ants different directions, so flies? I'd love to hear about it...!

He has climbed Mount McKinley in search of UV-resistant bacteria with unique proteins of possible use in the film industry. He has dived to the bottom of ice-covered lakes in Antarctica to study life there and better understand how micro-organisms adapt to Mars and other extreme environments. "It was like diving in an inkwell," Vass said. "But there are all sorts of things living there. It's amazing."

He has ideas for ultra-efficient vehicles and a mass spectrometer that prospects for gold in the ocean. He thinks he could create a super-duper video game. (His current favorite is "Portal," which he plays with his sons, Evan and Eric.)

He's saying that Dr Vass didn't collect any of the samples himself.

Dr Vass knows the makeup all right - he did the chemical tests. :) hee!

LOL...this is just so bad, I really have no words. Baez better sit down quick and hope the jury don't remember his cross.

I am listening at work and am not supposed to and I laughed out loud on that comment! :floorlaugh::floorlaugh: Vass is quick on his feet with respones, LOVE HIM!

I can't handle it anymore. I need a break. Some food. A shower.

I actually tried to punch he-who-shall-not-be-named through my screen.

I dont know about yall, but I almost always have potatoes with my hamburgers.

SO, fries are made with potatos, you eat burgers with fries, you eat both of those with the munchies and Dr. Vass is a chemist?

  • #1,175
He's telling you the history, Baez. mo

  • #1,176
The history of control samples. Sheesh

  • #1,177
Can't believe this guy is a proponent of divining to find decomposing bodies and even fossils(?!). Baez should have pushed him on that. Would have destroyed his credibility as a scientist. The jury may be buying Vass' testimony but I'm not, especially given the state of research into this type of air analysis.

what's the electronic leashes on flies ? about? JB trying to discredit again?

Maybe, but I know they have attached cameras to the backs of flies..I don't find that extremely odd :innocent:

electronic leashes on flies? Who slipped LSD or absinthe into my lunch? I can not possibly have read that right!

Look at the edit history for the Dr. Vass wiki article. The fly information had some editing done to it also....today, if I'm not mistaken.
