Did she just ask if he knew of any "search engine" that would record the username?

I just got the stream on. Is this about the desktop or Casey's laptop.

I know it's semantics and minor but if the DT had a computer expert they could zero in on the minor mispeaks

Apart from standing up to swear witnesses in,what does the lady who sits directly in front of HHJP do? What is her title?

She is the clerk of the court.

This guy is explaining in minutes things my IT dept head fiancee hasn't been able to get past me in years:) I'm thick about IT...can't understand technical stuff. This guy makes it easier to understand. I hope the jury can follow him too! He seems very credible and knowledgeable. Also personable.

:banghead: OMG -- yes, you can set Firefox to dump history upon exit of each use. Uggggg - how could he not know this?

He said the user could set it, but he doesn't know of it happening automatically.

IIRC

"History browser"? Never heard it called that.

Heh heh - just found mine this morning after the last witness - just deleting internet history doesn't do it - have to do it from the applications file. Been clicking away all morning deleting away.....

He was able to extract the information out from beginning to end and put it in a file.

Mozilla Firefox also offers private browsing where no record of browsing history is stored.

Rats, Mozilla Firefox does not store a user name - but others do.

Fortunately, they DO know that ICA used Firefox on that computer while her parents used IE.

Internet explorer saves user name data.

This man knows how to answer highly technical questions in simple straight forward ways, helping anyone to understand.
( it's a shame Lowe the death band woman & the FBI chemist couldn't speak this way, they were horrible).

Boy.... If she only knew then........ what she knows now!

My understanding is she deleted the Firefox browser on the morning of July 16.
JWG did some great analyzing of the computer forensic reports. He said ICA used Firefox and GA and CA used IE. There is a thread on it here somewhere, sorry, don't mean to derail but it is an interesting read, shows how sneaky ICA is.

read this for a very lay person explanation of all this... very telling...

Some jurors are taking notes during Stenger's testimony. No sign whether they get it or if this computer forensics stuff is going over heads

#CaseyAnthony I'm sure this computer stuff is not news to the IT worker zenmaster juror number 2. Never shows reaction.

So, if no user name stored with it, it's from Firefox... the browser used in the "owner" account, right?

cache back used

ICA is paying close attention now, no expression, sniffs and tilts head when she hear something she don't like..Witness looks to be enjoying talking about his work.

This witness is GREAT. Very clear, friendly, looks at Jury when speaking, body turned toward them. You can tell he instructs - not easy to do when it comes to this type of thing.

KC paying close attention, not going through books/paperwork during his testimony.
