How difficult is it for HHJP to remain neutral and open to both sides when he is human and knows the law forwards and backwards. He has heard the SA present its case about the murder of a beautiful child? Yesterday at the end of proceedings, after the jury had been excused, he cited three cases for the defense and told them basically to go do their homework with respect to presenting evidence regarding grief and manifestation thereof. Is he tired of the DT’s bull$h*t? Many a time I have seen him sigh or look a little frustrated with the DT.

I wonder what is going on inside his head and what his dreams are like during this trial.

I wonder if HJBP calls his wife or his son when he has to sit there and listen to ugly things like he has. Or if he just has some quiet time praying before he has to rule because he knows the cases and the laws, I would assume he needs to get his head right before ruling.

There are nuances, like how bella vita used in a sentence. On its own without context, it could either be Beautiful Life or Good Life, and the tattoo owner would have to tell which one it meant to them.

How about that Janie Weintraub last night on JVM. O....M...G...that woman makes my skin crawl. She "claims" that she is "close" to the defense, however her facts are always wrong. She stated that the police had pictures of the ladder up at the pool....and JVM so politely (NOT) pointed out to her that those pics were taken 31 days later and had no relevance whatsoever.

I have never been on a jury and really know zilch about the law but I hope the jury realizes that the DT can cook up anything they want to just to cause reasonable doubt..and as we've seen here, anything... Roy Kronk, GA and the drowning...all lies

I know I'm late responding as I am at work and had to scroll through all of the posts to keep up but I wonder:

How many of the first 18 witnesses who testified that KC was a good, loving mother (because they had to answer the question in the context of how they THOUGHT she was - but indeed they all THOUGHT she had a job; was moving into her parents' house etc.) would STILL say that she was a good and loving mother?

I think each and every person KC ever came into contact with is now horrified, disgusted and has tried to "wash it off" in a hot shower more than once...

Do you recall how many of those "friends" still even lived in the area? Very few, if any. I think that's telling that they wanted to get as far away as possible. Coming in to finally testify had to feel like a huge burden lifted from them.

I actually love statements like the one CM made...unless I missed something, he never ever said that Casey was not guilty. He never said that his client did not wrap duct tape around her daughter, cloroform her etc. He essentially said that the state is infering she did from the evidence which is not allowed in this country.

As much as Bill S. has had some good things to say, I don't think his analysis is all that earth shattering. I would say close to 100% of these motions are denied.
