Baez would have assumed that he was going to cash in on the story, but now any money has to be given primarily to Ms Anthony, with Baez getting a small percentage.

Yup had casey been convicted JB wouldn't be so destested. People would have wanted to hear HIS story. He would have been getting credit for trying the case as an underdog. They would want to know his thoughts on the trial. How casey reacted ect. The money would have been all his. Now he is stuck trying to market casey, care for her and share any profits. I think he was praying for manslaughter and lots of appeals.

The Court needs to change the term Reasonable Doubt. I am willing to bet 80% of people don't get. They use it as an excuse to explain away the verdict.

That term requires people who are able to logically draw conclusions and understand premises of logic. Not one of these jurors had that ability. They were emotionally driven people who do not understand the law or care to explore it. Their "Feelings" are all that's important.

Placing that one juror who could not "judge" was the beginning of the end. Just think, if she wan't placed, there may have been one juror who actually had logic and could connect the dots. I still don't understand why JP insisted she remain. The SA had a right to dismiss her. I've never seen a judge revoke a side's choice to dismiss for cause.

What the jury doesn't want to say is they liked Baez and they felt sorry for FCA. Very poor fudgement on both reasons. It is as if they were held hostage by Baez's showmanship. IMO, what he did to GA was vile and should have never been allowed in a court of law w/o evidence.

Bottom line, the jurors lacked common sense.

I keep hearing Jose Baez had the right to do that to GA. I can't believe this. Where are our rights? Does GA have to forfeit his rights to the pursuit of happiness because a vile defense attlrney wants to use him to excuse a client from guilt?

I am stunned that everyone is aggreement. They say he has a right to aggressively protect the defendent. I can't accept this. That means that anyone of us can be the target for an unsavory "aggressive" lawyer who wants to win despite the henious crime. GA has no rights and is not allowed to sue. He is fair game in Jose's battle for a child muderer!!. The fact people have let this go and accepted it as a lawyer's right to destroy lives for a guilty defendent will not be accepted by me.

Can someone plz tell JB and CM their poor client wouldn't have been in a "cage" for 3 years of facing the DP if she had come up with her accident story earlier if she was so innocent. Oh wait that darn duct tape....

Darn jury. I turned on HLN today. My 1st time since the verdict and was please to see VP explaining all the things he saw and understood vs how the jury saw them. Then I clicked it off since his common sense was too much to bear vs the clip he showed of juror #3 saying she needed cause of death. Her flip attitude in the clip was offputting. How did the jury overlook the fact that this was a circumstantial case. Now I'm bummed again. Never should have turned on HLN. Everything VP said was right. Depressing. I wish they could have chosen a better change of venue. They found the 12 most uninformed people in florida. HHJP must be kicking himself for trying so hard to help the DT to be fair. He probably thought this case was a shoo-in for SA and wanted a tight case for appeals.
I see no talk of sanctions. Sigh. Its over. She is now free. No appeal. No overturning verdict. Just lots of speculation on what the lying sl** will do next.

Restaurateur Jeff Ruby took out a half page ad in the Orlando Sentinel Saturday saying the people of Orlando got the verdict of the Casey Anthony trial wrong. I sent him an email thanking him for what many of us believe. Here is the email he sent back to me….

Thank you for taking the time to send me your uplifting comments. Interestingly, some very negative and offensive blogs, emails, etc. have been going around about my opinion and reason for taking out the ad. It meant a great deal to me to hear from you and so many other people from all over America that feel the way you and I do.
