2015.08.26 Jimmy Rodgers: Charged with Murder in the Second Degree

  • #141
Has anyone been able to find out where JR is being held? I looked under federal. The only 25 year old with his name says not in BOP custody. I cannot find him in Jefferson County, or for the state of Missouri. I cannot find him in Florida either. Hmmmm.
What if he is being moved?

From what I read, not in BOP means he is in US Marshall custody being moved.

Ref: Dmacky post and post 144:

So he and his wife (who died in 2000 whereas he died in 2007); had 2 daughters and 2 sons. Okay? .....He was a guard at the local prison in Moberley. If he died in the Phillilpines, he must have moved there after retiring. At least they didn't have to live through this arrest of their son. Best to know from heaven if that is where they reside now, R.I.P.

I get confused easily. LOL.
This is what I get under 25 year old JR:
JIMMY RODGERS
Register Number: 36938-044
Age: 25
Race: White
Sex: Male
NOT IN BOP CUSTODY
Release Date: 02/22/2016
What is confusing to me is that it doesn't say released. From your link:
Location

For inmates still in BOP custody, this shows the name of their location. Inmates shown as being in a Regional Office are serving a concurrent state sentence in a state prison. Inmates shown as being in a Community Corrections Management (CCM) center are in a contract "halfway house" (not in the CCM). "IN TRANSIT" means the inmate has been moved from a BOP facility, and may or may not be returned. For example, a pretrial inmate may have been removed by the U.S. Marshals Service and subsequently released by the court with no further notice to the BOP. "RELEASED" means the inmate is no longer in BOP custody
I think it means he is in custody, but not at a federal prison. So confusing.

What do you see there that interests you Dmacky?

I'm not sure how Rodgers father's death is connected with this case.

Maybe some feel that his fathers death contributed to his criminal behavior. I'm not sure how that can be proven myself.

JMO.

Creepingskills ~
As always, your posts are very thought provoking. As well as thoughtful, you seem to have a very kind heart.

I was just wondering if in fact, anyone knows for sure that JR's brother really is going or graduating from law school and actually lives in Florida? Just because JR told his boss that, it doesn't necessarily mean it is true?
I can't sit for long as I am down in my back with a herniated disk/pinched nerve and I don't have the energy to search for myself. TIA~

Yes, it's interesting to take a step back and look into the makings of a criminal...possible murderer... creepingskills did it very nicely and offered us a perspective we may have not considered. Not that she's making excuses for him, simply challenging us to use our minds and look deeper. Some criminal minds you can't see coming at you, and some you see had the odds stacked against them from the start.

That was my take on it too. Sure looks to me that he may be moving to Florida.

That's my thought too.

At first it seemed as if JR was the killer ("Hammer" being his nickname, favorite weapon, jumpsuit, etc.) Considering what creepingskills posited about JR's past, and the very manipulative conniving nature of CWW and MS, it seems likely JR was the "fall guy" here.

I am more inclined now to believe CWW may have actually killed TS, and JR was the driver and an accessory in other ways. Any thoughts "sleuthy sleuths" ? Just love that term though I can't take credit for it.

I second what atthelake recalled from MSM. I also remember reading that JR's brother had zero knowledge of his brother's cover story, wasn't in FL, no plan to be and did not 'just' graduate law school (hence nothing to celebrate). I don't want to say anything else about the brother because IMO, he is a victim. I'm not directing this at anyone, just rambling. It must be devastating to not know whether your family member is capable of such violence. And they involve you, even if its insignificantly or indirectly. IMO, JR told this tale to assure his boss that the FL trip was totally G-rated, under his brother's watch and/or make up a 'really big deal' requiring him to go to FL last minute.

JR's either a terrible brother, which is possible, or never thought that tale he told the boss would go anywhere, didn't think it would be checked out by LE and thus involving his brother in this web of lies. As a law student, the stakes are higher if you have a 'run in' with LE. This would be a nightmare scenario. Being on the other side of the law during law school can easily result in not being able to sit for the bar exam. Bad credit counts, anything that could make the bar examiners question your character and fitness to practice law.

This sleuthy sleuth thinks that all 3 (JR, CWW, & MS) have a lot of dirt on each other and they will soon start turning on each other & making deals with LE.

Moo

I have been feeling this also. It's the "passion" of the murder that makes me lean towards someone who knew her....CWW. I'm not sure JR could get up enough hate for someone he has never met to kill so brutally.

Did anyone actually see JR's self-proclaimed "hit-man" stuff on fb or something? I was wondering if it wasn't a pun, because he is a carpenter? Hit-man with hitting the hammer while building homes aka: ha-ha sounds funny if your not really in trouble in a murder investigation!

I always figured that the "brother who was in FL graduating law school" referred to MS & his penchant for wanting to be a lawyer (as mentioned by a VI). I don't know if this was what CWW told JR when they were sitting around b.s.-ing or if JR was told this more directly but it doesn't matter much anyway. It just seemed too coincidental along with my personal observations of criminal types & their story-telling traits. If you tell a lot of stories, the truth & fantasy become blurred. And don't forget that these "birds" want to narcissistically "flock" together in their (uh hum) **accomplishments** like holding $200/hour jobs & being lawyers and such.
Reality is proving otherwise, of course.

Plain criminals....all of them.....moo.

IMO if CWW didn't kill TS, he would have stayed in MO. Or did he come along for the ride simply to direct JW, navigate the route to Jarvis, perform some IT genius spell on the alarm system? Not sure. Why would the hypothetical middleman (CWW) go along with the hit man (JR) to do the hit?! The point of a middle man is to create distance between connection points, insert randomness to the crime. So, IMO CWW is not a middle man, or, JR is not a hit man.

Always possible CWW just isn't so smart.:jail:

He could have been in the Philippines on vacation. Odd, but I know someone who died there while on vacation. The obit made it sound like he was still at the prison, not retired.
