2015.09.09 Extradition of CWW from MO to FL

Right, but the MO attorney was representing CWW in the extradition matter. A Missouri case. IMO, the MO attorney was planning to argue improper identification at the extradition hearing; that FL did not have "proof of identity" fingerprints, photos, placing CWW in the state at the time of the crime. This is a very relevant argument to be made at the extradition hearing. If the MO attorney had a particularly strong argument, a MO judge may have delayed/denied extradition. Might have been an attempt to probe the evidence against CWW.

If CWW retained private attorneys in FL, I wonder where the money came from. IMO, CWW will end up with court appointed counsel in FL.
I didn't think proof of identity for extradition purposes worked like that... I thought the proof of identity was "this person in custody is not cww", rather than "cww has an alibi and SODDI"

But I'm not an atty... I dunno...

If I have time later I will ask in the legal Q&A thread.

Eta... which is why no one ever wins that argument fighting extradition. ..

Clarified (my question) over in the legal q&a thread, but the issue that I THINK CWW's attorney was planning to raise was not whether CWW is the same CWW sought by the state of FL, but whether CWW was a "fugitive". I'm guessing the argument would have went like this; CWW is not a fugitive who committed the crime in FL and fled to MO because [insert here evidence CWW was not in FL at the time of the crime].

Rest assured, alibi evidence (witness testimony) doesn't usually work!

Sept. 30th came and went. Shouldn't CWW be getting ready to be shipped to Florida?

According to yesterday's news report(see link in post #361) there is a 30 day window to bring see WWE back to Florida. They will not release the exact date for security measures

Thanks! This has to be his first trip to Florida that he was not in charge of himself!

Was it worth it, CWW? Why execute a wonderful doctor and Mother? Did that execution make your life easier or better?

I'm still just so angry that CWW and JR murdered Dr. Sievers! They both may have done time in the past, but this time it is going to be so, so different. They still will never suffer as much as Dr. Sievers inevitably did even if the death penalty is pursued and gotten. If found guilty we know it will be forever until they are executed and then it will be done as if they were being aestheticized for surgery.

*I pray the evidence against the both of them is ironclad!

Curtis Wayne Wright, one of two Missouri men accused of killing Dr. Teresa Sievers, is no longer in a Missouri jail.

....

A spokesman for the Lee County Sheriff's Office said Wednesday afternoon that Wright was not in a Lee County jail.

Thanks.

So if he isn't in a MO jail any longer and isn't in the Lee County jail where is he? In transit being brought back right now?

Great news either way because now we will know a whole lot more due to the Florida Sunshine Law.

Officials with the Jefferson County Jail in Missouri confirm Wayne Wright is no longer in their custody. Wright was picked up sometime overnight on Wednesday, but the jail did not confirm which law enforcement agency took him into custody.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office says Wright is not in their custody right now.

....

Mark Sievers has not been named as a suspect at this time.

So would they fly him to Florida? It's a long ride, and would probably require an overnight, so safer and quicker to fly.

This just came in.

Wow. I guess we get to fasten our seat belts. How long is it going to be before we can see the official documents when FL releases them? The stream of info is going to finally begin! :loveyou:
